Compostable Bags for Kitchen Compost Bin, 1.2 Gallon, 125 Count, Certified by BPI and ASTM, Leakproof and Odor Control

I got tired of pilfering bags from the grocery stores and decided to try these. It’s a good, sturdy and large capacity bag for my usage. This is a good purchase and I’m glad to have them. Also, a good value for the money.

Since my area started requiring organic food scraps to go into the green waste bin, I've been using these bags inside a tabletop container, and they've worked really well right from the start. Even though this was the first product like this I tried, I've already gone through several boxes because they perform reliably.They hold up well – no tearing in the wrong places – and they fit my countertop trash container nicely without falling apart or slipping down. I appreciate that they can stretch a bit when needed and tie securely at the top. Being compostable is essential, of course. I like thinking that they offer a clean, neutral way of keeping the food scraps contained until it's time to transfer them to the main green waste bin for collection. Really happy with this product; I buy it now and will continue to do so.

The best! Thank you for making these bags as they are perfect for storing leftovers for compost. You’re doing your part and helping us in recycling. Haven’t had any problems with them tearing and the quantity is perfect.

I cannot comment on compostability since the city takes all the conpost. It seems to be relatively tough. We freeze all of our compost so the food waste is always rigid but they don't seem to break the bag easily. I probably should have ordered a bigger one. It was smaller than I imagined. On average, we have been using 2 per week (2 person worth of food waste). And there's usually no slack left to tie a normal knot, so we just use some cotton strings to close it.

Switched to these and super happy with the durability/permeability of these bags. They stand up to moisture but they will leak and seep pure liquid if you put wet food in them. Double bag or put something absorbent in the bottom if you have wet leftovers.

I bought this so we could put all our scraps in and tie without food smelling. This keeps the odors in! Definitely worth the price. Will be buying again as needed. The quality of the bags is very good. Not one has torn on us so far.

I use these to gather food scraps to throw into my trash bin. It helps keep the smell manageable. I like that they are biodegradable so I’m not adding plastic to the waste. Sometimes I freeze particularly smelly types of scrap so the green is easy to spot when it’s time to throw them into the garbage can.

I use these bags to collect food scraps for my compost bin. Taking the bag to our composter outside, it drips and it doesn't take much to make a hole in it. I'm careful to be sure coffee grounds are cool before putting in the bag. The bag does fall apart easier than I desire, but that means it's compostable. I put the bag in our city compost bin after emptying contents in my smaller yard composter.
