TeleZapper

They should take this item off the market. It doesn't do anything but make a tone when you pick up your phone. The unit came dead on arrival. I called the support number for the manufacturer. I told him that it didn't make any tones as described in the manual. He was very unresponsive and said if telemarketers weren't calling it must be working. End of conversation. Well the calls kept coming in. I called again and spoke to someone else. It was determined that it indeed arrived DOA. No offer was made to send it back only to go to the dealer with it. I opened it up and tested the battery. Only 2 volts from the required 3 volts. Off I go to put in another 6 dollars for a battery. OK, now I get the tone. Calls keep coming in, the thing is a dust collector.Maybe people will read this and save money and frustration.

After, I retired, I did not realize how many telemarkers, was calling my home, I than purchased the zapper, the only problem with the zapper, is when you receive a call you don't want to answer, you must hit the red button, and it didn't really help, because the telemarkers kept calling. I than searched Amazon, and found the TeleZapper, I purchased it from Amazon, I installed it as soon as I received it, it was worth the money I paid for it. After 3 days, I have not received a call, the TeleZapper does exactly what it is described to do. I now have peace at last. I recommend anyone that is looking for privacy, the TeleZapper is the one.

I recently purchased a Telezapper due to the very high number of unwanted nuissance calls that I was receiving at my business, which I solely own and operate. I was unable to get my work done because of all these calls. Even when you tell them not to call back, they inevitably do. I tried the "no call" list but it doesn't apply to businesses. I was also told by authorities that I couldn't change my business number to a residential one and call it in to the list without it becoming a case of "falsifying information to the state"! So, I get a Telezapper, hook it up, and the thing does exactly what it is supposed to do, sends a tone to the computer's database. I can hear the tone everytime I pick up the phone. But, the drawback is, most of the telemarketers aren't using computer dialing to call me. Therefore, most of them are getting right through. I have "zapped" only one since I have had it in service. So, it is my belief that the telemarketer has gotten around the Telezapper, and the Telezapper needs to find another way to get around the telemarketer! I'd buy a new and improved one if the price is right!

Seems to work well but difficult to tell when its working.

This is the second TeleZapper TZ900 I have purchased that does not work. Trying to get in touch with Privacy Technologies can not be done. The phone number in the manual, 1-800-373-6290, is a flooring company, the web site is down doing maintenance for three days now. Both new in the package units did not send a code to the computers that are dialing my phone. Also both units caused a problem with my phone system. I use Vonage and have V-Tech base with 6 wireless handsets. I had to reload my Vonage router with both units. I really need this type of device and have tried several times to purchase one that works. Support seems to be non-existent. I am still trying to get in touch with someone at Privacy Technologies.

I used this pruduct many years ago and was very satisfied with it. I purchased it eliminate all of the "robo calls" during the last. It did not work. Ihad it too long to return it, however I am considering purchasing another one. Most calls I receive are from cell phones. Does this product eliminate cell phone calls?

It is a wonderful gadget it operates as advertised ,There are certain telemarketers that don`t use computer generated calls and these type slip threw, but for the most part it works well . Never thought it would be so good ,but not hearing the phone ring needlessly is a blessing.I`am glad I bought it and I` am very pleased.

The Telezapper does create a pause and a beep each time you pick up your phone, but it has not deterred a single telemarketer call. The beep happens, and then the sales pitch begins as usual. There has not been the slightest reduction in the amount of annoyance calls we received. It seems like the product is just as sleazy as the telemarketers it is supposed to combat. It was a total waste of money for us.
