Tempeh Fresh

When I received it, it clearly says on the packet Keep Refridgerated, but the company sent it to me with 2 days travelling in May heat. I didn't risk eating it after that, but I did try the chips and they have a bitter aftertaste.

Tempeh is so versatile , can be made in any way and yet tastes delicious and high in protein… Yummmm and healthy

Nothing extraordinary about its taste. It tastes like Indian "jimikand"/ Suran/ elepant foot. Product is overhyped for business purpose. Indians have many other better options to fall back on.

I should have taken a picture of the postage stamp sized "ice pack" this came with. Of course, even in December, it was thoroughly thawed by the time it reached me. Normally, I'd expect tempeh to slice and hold together well. This does not. It crumbles. And there was no sign of the white fungal culture around the outside, so I think they probably failed to culture it long enough. Flavor was meh, okay, I guess, but I'll keep looking for another brand who cultures their beans long and ships with the intent to keep the product cool, not the "eye wash" approach this brand uses. Two strikes and yer out!

The Temphe was not cooled at the time of delivery and got a rotten smell quite quickly! I couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away

Not like much, may be taste not developed
