Not an Conveggtor, but OK
I have the large BGE. I also already have the Conveggtor for it, but I wanted one to keep clean just for pizza. I use the official stone for smoking pork, ribs etc. It gets pretty funky as a result, so having a 2nd that I can keep free of grease for direct food contact is a plus. The support legs on the Cmanzhi are the same spacing and diameter as the original, but a little shorter. The main body of the Cmanzhi is smaller diameter by a couple of inches as well. It lacks the reinforcing ribs on the legs that the original has. It is less expensive, about a third less. All in all this indirect converter is OK, but not a direct replacement for the BGE part. The sorter legs can be an advantage in some instances, the original sits pretty high, lower would allow for a taller turkey. The smaller diameter will allow a bit more air flow and circulation, also sometimes an advantage. Basically price is pretty much in proportion to the size. If I were starting over I'd keep the original for pizza and let this get greasy with other stuff. This one will serve my purposes well though.

Not the same as green eggs
This product is approximately the same diameter as my original green egg version but has shorter legs and is overall not as thick but did fit so I’m giving it a try…

Fits large Bug Green Egg well- best for newer Eggs
Our original Big Green Egg indirect heat insert finally cracked all the way through and needed replacing. If you look at my photos, you can see that our original insert had more height to it, allowing the grill grate or pizza stone to be at the ideal height. Apparently newer Big Green Eggs are designed a little differently now (ours is probably around 13 years old) so the shorter height will work well if you have a newer one. For older grills, a quick work around is to stack a pizza stone or two on top of it to bring it up to the correct height. We tested this insert out by grilling pizza on a pizza stone, and it came out delicious and perfectly cooked. The material seems to be just the same as the original insert, but at a more affordable price than you’ll find on a BGE product. Word to the wise: these inserts don’t do well being left out in extreme weather. If you plan to not use your grill and accessories during the winter, bring the inserts inside for storage.

Good enough!
In a recent move, my platesetter suddenly went missing from storage...sadly along with many other things. However, my large Big Green Egg was apparently too much work to abscond with, so I had it but missing my platesetter...ugh. The OEM Conveggtor are around $90 bucks and at the time of writing, this one is about $51. A bargain! However, it is not a carbon copy and not quite as sturdy. For me however, it does the job and does it well. I primarily use it as a deflector for making pizza. I do not cook pizza directly on the platesetter. That's not what it's made for. Rather, I place my pizza stone on top of it with 1" ceramic spacers between the stone and the platesetter to allow an air baffle, so the ambient temperature in the egg is roughly the same as the stone - that allows the pizza to cook evenly without burning the bottom while the top is not cooked. Unless you have a very specific need for the OEM version, I guarantee you this will do the job without compromising your culinary masterworks and will save you money in the process. Highly recommended!

Waiting for BBQ season!
I was so excited to receive the smoking stone to smoke some brisket and have a spring BBQ but it's been months of drizzly, cold, wintery weather this season so sadly, I have yet to use this. It will be Memorial Day weekend and still no sunshine. The product arrived packaged well, nothing cracked or broken despite being ceramic and heavy. I will definitely update this review after an actual BBQ!!
