CAN NOT BE BEAT FOR THE PRICE! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I am absolutely blown away by how compact and light weight the unit is. It made me skeptical at first since I doubted anything this size could handle harder materials like stone (but it does with ease!). Second, the quality of build and intuitive controls make this a breeze to set up and start operating. As others have said, you can be up and going within 10-15minutes and that's taking your time. After doing some test runs on the provided materials (also very much appreciated), I set up a slate coaster to see how it would perform. Initially I had set the unit on too high a resolution (2k) and too small but once I figured out my mistake, the subsequent tester was so easy!A few things I wanted to bring up (not so much that they are issues as little grievances). The included hood with fan is much appreciated but it's so effective that I can not see the previews. I guess raising/lowering to view isn't too complicated, but I just want to be sure I'm not wearing things out prematurely. *EDIT* Customer service contacted me and explained how to adjust the brightness so previews are legible through the hood. Super easy adjustment on the app and I can't believe I didn't see it* Last, if it would be possible to have increments labeled on the laser's stand for quick reference, that would be appreciated (I used blue painter's tape to mark my settings for now).Overall, this has been a great investment. I have branded coasters (slate), leather patches, glasses and stainless mugs, and my phone cover with flawless results. It'd be hard to beat this level of quality at this price. You can certainly find cheaper units out there but why waste your time and money on inferior quality results.

First laser purchase
This is my first laser engraver, so I have nothing else to compare it with. However, it was easy to setup and start etching some designs using their software. Their software was easy to get up and running as well. I simply brought in a jpeg and started messing around with the settings. So far, it is simple, easy and fun.My only criticism, at the moment, is that the weight of the head unit with light-blocking attachment does pull the etch depth a little deeper into the left edge (side opposite of the Y-axis vertical column) of the design. I have checked the screw tightness and resorted to adding a cardstock shim between the head unit and the L-bracket. This helped level off the unit and the etch depth.

This thing is incredible and a game changer
The media could not be loaded. First off I purchased this laser because I am frivolous. Nothing more. My wife would agree. The set up was super easy and I was already lazing my first item within 15 minutes of opening the box. You have to download the lazerpecker app. There are 2 apps. One is a basic one and one is a (studio) app with more options. It connects over Bluetooth to the app with ease. I have tried layering basically everything I own at this point. From yeti mugs that are powered coated to glass, metal, and wood. It does work on metal just fine you might just have to make multiple passes. I have not used any other lasers but this thing is speedy fast. The quality is that of an Apple product. Very high quality aluminum build and I believe that is part of the expensive cost. Should you purchase it? I can’t decide for you but at the hefty price tag I would only purchase it if you plan on selling items or doing custom orders. It takes up little space and looks great sitting next to my desk. Also if you plan on buying this make sure you have a garage or outdoor area to use it in as you definitely do not want to use this in your home. Depending on what you are layering it smells terrible. Overall I can recommend this item to a friend.

Do not trust those Youtube reviews!
This laser is definitely NOT powerful enough for any of the advertised materials except for wood. It says it's okay with metal but the laser is definitely not powerful enough for metal etching. If you're planning on starting an etsy store with the LP2, this is definitely going to ruin your product and cost you money. There is no jig so you can't align your products so your print is centered every time. Since there's no jig, you also can't just slide items in and out with the vent shroud on. You have to take off the shroud, align your item, and put the shroud back on.The software is so buggy that if your computer goes to sleep, it will sometimes cause the location of the art to shift to a random place on the laser. The software will show the art at the same place but the laser will laser another area. The worst part of this laser is that the laser power is not consistent in the entire print area! The laser is the most powerful in the center, in around a 1 inch diameter. Outside of the center 1 inch diameter, the laser quickly drops off power so you get inconsistent results. If you want to laser a straight horizontal line, it will literally be faded on the ends and the center is focused. Also there is absolutely no consistency with the laser print. I can laser one that is passable and the next one is completely faded, without changing any conditions. The PC and Mac software is full of bugs. They had an older version of the software that works but it's buggy. The new software that they have on the website doesn't connect at all with bluetooth and forces you to buy the $100 USB dongle to print wirelessly. They also removed the old software so if you don't have a backup of the old software, there is no bluetooth connection. If you are making wood coasters for your family then this works, but if you want to laser any other material or need any consistency then this is NOT a good product.

The software is very easy to use but there are some annoying glitches
I love how portable and powerful this laser is. It's my first and a guy that has a commercial laser said it was def. an art to get things to come out correctly. I've had fantastic results so far and I'm just getting started! There are some annoying issues with the software. For instance if you click the auto-crop button it erases the size of your image. Switching between other settings will do the same thing. It feels like it's built very sturdy. It's def. a quality piece of equipment.
