So 6 pairs, 12 individual socks?

NO! I bought two orders of these socks after seeing this answers and I received two packs with 12 PAIRS, 24 TOTAL SOCKS per package. I now have 48 of these socks.

What do they say on bottom of sock?

Hanes X-temp Hanes (in red) X-(in blue) and temp (in white)

Is the material thick, thin, or in between?

Thick on the bottom and around the toes. Nice and bouncy comfy, but very slick on tile floors.

Are these true no show socks?

Not really. There is still a little bit of sock showing on most of my sneakers. Anything shorter would cause my shoe to rub on my ankles and be uncomfortable. So if pulled up all the way they will show half and inch of sock on most shoes.
