This is my go-to when I have a coldsore!! I get them at least once a year and the creams do absolutely nothing for me! This product WORKS and I don't care what anyone else has to say. I will use this until I cannot buy it again.

I've been using this product for several years and it's the only treatment I found that ever works for me. I get cold sores once or twice a year on my lower lip. The first time I found this product was about five years ago. I woke up with what I knew was a developing cold sore. On my way to work I stopped by a walgreens and found the Orajel treatment. It was expensive at 2 tubes for $20 but if it works it would save me 2 weeks of self consciousness as I wait for the cold sore to break out and heal. I applied it per the instructions. it does make your lips go numb. But later in the day I was surprised to find that the cold sore have stopped breaking out!As time goes on I always keep a pack in my medicine cabinet because this stuff stops the cold sore at its track. It's also nice to see the prices have went down. It is now 4pack for $20 at the local walgreens/CVS and about half that here on Amazon.Protip: Keep a pack of this handy. Apply this treatment as soon as you detect a cold sore forming. And during the application process press the tip into your screen with some force to ensure the liquid is absorbed into your skin.

My son gets mouth sores this time we got Ambusol and it didn't work at all. We ended up getting this and by the time the pack was finished it was much. I'm learning that Orajel works better for us then Ambusol.

Don't waste your time with the creams. This is the stuff

I had not gotten a cold sore for many years until one morning I awoke to the dreadful tingle. I knew what would happen right away and Prime Now'd this bad boy. My learning curve was less than desirable but I want to write about it so nobody makes the same mistake I did:Do not hold the product in the same spot on your lip for long periods of time. Landed myself a nice chemical burn from that. The instructions are pretty clear... I have no idea why I thought I needed to do this. Because of my shenanigans I ended up also getting some infection under the dead skin and had to deal with that + the healing cold sore.Fast forward three weeks and I get another one in my sleep. Thankfully I had a tube left over and quickly treated it; healed in about three days. Fast forward a month and I start getting ANOTHER one (this is very abnormal for me). At this point I was carrying them around in my travel bag, living in a constant state of paranoia that any slight tingle would be another cold sore. I raked this bad boy across my lip as I was boarding an international flight, like my life depended on it. Once we had landed all I had was a small scab from my AGGRESSIVE rubbing. I'll take it.I will always buy this product in the future. When you use it properly (whoops) it cuts the healing time down IMMENSELY and it completely fought off my third recurrence.
