Silloway Maple has been in the business of producing prize-winning maple syrup since 1942, when the sap was gathered from buckets with a team of horses.Some trees in our sugarbush are over a hundred years old! Our family has kept up with technology to produce the highest quality maple syrup, while keeping our trees healthy and robust. We use all renewable resources, featuring traditional wood firing along with seventy solar panels which provide all of the energy for the sugarhouse - as well as much of the power for the family dairy farm. Our maple syrup has won top awards for quality year after year, at several Vermont shows and fairs.Customers exclaim, "That is the best syrup I have ever tasted!." Silloway Maple welcomes visitors year 'round, giving tours and samples, to share how our family produces top quality syrup. You are welcome to come, and pick up your products at our sugarhouse. We are never too busy to stop our farm work, and explain the sugaring process.
