Love pilot pens , love how they write and how they feel in my hand, however, this one is advertised as having purple ink but it is black ink. So if you want purple ink do not buy this pen.

I bought this as a gift. I live in California and receiving this from Japan took about 3-4 weeks. I was expecting the pen to be a vibrant purple. However, when I received it, the pen is more of a light purple/lavender. Even though it's lighter in color than expected, I enjoy the it just the same. The pen point is 0.5mm according to the package, which is perfect for the person I'm gifting it to. I have always been a big fan of Dr. Grip and have recommended it to everyone I know! I have a tendency to put a lot of pressure when I write which constantly gives me hand cramps when I am writing a lot, and this pen relieves that pressure. (Except the Dr. Grip gel pens... the cushion on those pens are too hard for me.)

I agree this pen is not violet on the outside, but it’s not pink either. It’s lavender and it’s awesome. Such a lovely extra fine point, but smooth not scratchy at all. Doesn’t skip at all. Truly a great writing experience at a great price. I will always have this pen with me.

Love that the pen is smudg proof and the Dr. Grip design really makes a difference. The grip is soft, comfortable, and easy to hold for long writing sessions, so my hand doesn’t get tired as fast. It feels well‑balanced and solid, not cheap or flimsy like some pens. Overall, it’s a great pen if you want something that writes smoothly, feels good in your hand, and looks stylish. Definitely worth it for everyday use or schoolwork.

Brand new as advertised in package no mars or damage

This has black ink! This was marked as purple ink, but it’s actually black ink with a purple barrel.

Been using this pen for 9 months, already replaced the ink twice and I love this pen! No cramping, no aching, just no carpal tunnel pain at all, totally worth every penny. No signs of breaking or wear yet. Light weight, comfy grip pad, no shifting.

It is an amazing pen but... I thought the ink would be purple, but it is BLACK fyi

I've purchased a lot of Dr. Grip in the past and the other ones were far better (and softer grips) than this one. i don't think I'll be buying this again.
