Well made
Very useful tool for spreading my 4 cylinder brake cylinders for new brake pads. I had been using screwdrivers and wrenches before using this. While screwdrivers and wrenches work, this allows the brake cylinders to be spread even only.

Makes brake pad install easier
Bought this after trying to install some pads with just a screwdriver (I was unsuccessful then). These made the job way easier and I have officially changed my first ebike disc brake pads!

Good value. Good tool. Forget about the screwdriver.
On my first tire change. On my first bike with disc brakes. Yes. Managed to freeze the front brake pads. And I had a pack of orange do-hickee spacer thangs! Smooth move. Have a well used flat head in the garage that doubles for 10 or so odd uses-everything but screwdrivering. Reluctantly talked myself out of it.Anyway. Fully recommend this tool. Couldn't have worked better or easier. Now that I bought one-probably never need it again. But a number of my friends are just as slow as me so might see some more use after all.

Useful, better than the other park tool option.
Metal is a little thin, but functional.

An essential tool to effortlessly depress hydraulic disk brake pistons without a risk of damage
I was using the widest flat screwdriver in my toolbox before to depress the pistons into their cylinders, and I can tell you it takes a lot of precision to depress a piston with a force applied to its exact centre, or otherwise the piston refuses to move. Park Tool is known for their bike service tools, and this piston spreader is so much easier to use. It's well worth is price, as spreading pistons is what you have to do every time when replacing thin and worn brake pads with the thick, new ones. You may even afford a luxury of carefully pushing the pistons out to clean their side surface, something I tried to avoid, as a simple screwdriver is a very unwieldy instrument for pushing the pistons back into cylinders. Get it, you'll love changing your brake pads with it! There are quite a few instruction videos on YouTube on the correct use of the tool, including some from Park Tools themselves.Note that the tool is specific to hydraulic brakes; you don't need it if your disk brakes are cable-operated, like, for example, a lower-grade Tiara disk brake and some other types. It's specifically designed for hydraulically operated brake pistons.

Great tool to spread straighten and align pistons
Since you are looking at this item, you clearly use disc brakes. If you use hydraulic brakes, you know that sometimes the pistons don't come out straight. They sometimes come out top first or just slightly slanted. This uneven application will cause uneven break pad wear and reduce the overall life of your brake pads since one side/edge will be worn out before the rest of the pad. This tool is great not only at spreading the pads and pistons without having to remove the brake pads. But it is fantastic at straightening the pistons if they don't come out evenly.Pros:- Good Value, priced about right for a simple tool- Good for spreading pads- Even better at straightening and aligning pistons- No need to remove brake pads for serviceCons:- The whole tool is the same thickness as a rotor, which is fairly thing. If you apply too much force, it will bend
