I was looking for a guide to learn how to use Excel at its best... I bought many books, but they were all without pictures (but how is it possible to follow tutorials without being able to look at them?!?). The few books that had pictures were of very poor quality, with formulas that didn't work. This book, on the other hand, solved my problems! All the formulas are perfect, the pictures are made with the latest version of excel (some parts are also made for older versions, good choice). It is perfect on both MAC and Windows. At this price it is the best book I could buy. Impossible not to like this book, the author was very clever to include an image for each formula or graph. Very simple for beginners! I highly recommend it

If you want the most updated info on how to use the latest features in Microsoft Excel this is a great option. I found this book to be really easy to understand with all the images it included. I havent really used Excel in a while and I forgot how many different things you can do with it. I'm definitely a visual learner so all the images telling you what to do were so extremely helpful.

This book seems to be a fantastic reference guide, but not much more. There are no practice/test files for you to learn from, so you have to have excel files with relevant data stored in them to practice anything. Sure, you can make things up in a blank spreadsheet, but that seems inefficient and likely almost impossible once you start diving into the more advanced features of Excel. I don't have files big or varied enough to practice, so it puts me in a bit of a bind. Maybe if I ever find myself needing to do any of these advanced techniques for work I will be able to use this book to help, but it would be much better if I had time to practice BEFORE I need these skills for work. I just don't see how it's possible to learn bout pivot tables and vlookup without large enough workbooks, let alone AI and task automation, and data visualization. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a $20, 142 page book, so instead of 3 stars I'm giving this book 4 stars for having the info there, but no real way to practice it.

I had to buy 2 more books before I found the right one. A friend of mine recommended this book, but I accidentally got others with a similar cover!!! THIS is the original, full of new and updated pictures. This book has really useful information, it is not just a copy of online blogs!!! this information I could not find online. The other books are mere copies, but this one is really well done. The price is great, it is worth much more! I recommend this book if you are a beginner or if you want to discover new advanced formulas. I will now enjoy surprising my colleagues with formulas that allow me to do my work in half the time! Truly excellent, I recommend it to everyone! The cover is fantastic!!

I'm not far enough into the book to comment on more advanced topics it contains, but 40 pages in and I've already encountered multiple grammatical peculiarities and errors in suggested Excel formulae (i.e. =TOTAL(B2... rather than =SUM(B2... ) on page 38). There is no TOTAL function in Excel 365/2022?, don't recall enough about earlier versions. Hoping it gets better otherwise fear I may have been duped by the reviews.

Probably could find this info for free. Nice reference manual.

I bought this book based on the high percentage of good reviews, and was sorely disappointed! I am a longtime Excel user who wants to learn how to use pivot tables. When you go out to market yourself as a skilled Excel user, almost invariably you are asked about your pivot table skills. I went through the entire book and could not find even a mention of pivot tables. The book wasted my time with a history of Excel and some general platitudes on how Excel might be useful in various areas of your business and personal life. This took up a considerable amount of the meager 148 pages. Twenty-one dollars plus tax and they couldn't even bother to put in an index! This book might suffice if you are an absolute beginner and want to gain a smattering of techniques. For everyone else, it is a rip off.

this book is perfect if you are a beginner, but also if you are an advanced. it is really well done and very detailed. there are more than 50 photos, it is all really great PRO: - High quality photos that explain in detail all the various steps to follow - All formulas and basic commands are clearly explained and easy to understand - There is a section on more advanced formulas, tables, graphs and advanced calculation tools - the index is intuitive, so it's perfect to keep on your desk and quickly refer to while you're working. by now my book is already full of notes, I love it.

This is a useful book to reference when using excel and wanting to create macros and formulas. However I do find it's quicker and easier to Google anything I need and use copy paste!

A good little guide to the updated Microsoft Excel

It is definitely a very good book that can be considered a reference manual for Excel.Good presence of many practical examples. It's really important to learn Excel, both for work and for school. I have to say that I was really pleased, I acquired many skills and more easily than I thought. Very well written, clear and with many examples, congratulations to the author.

Great product for beginners and novice users. If you’ve used excel for years then most of the content you would know but if you’ve used it for less than 3 years it will give you new useful information.

I use excel frequently and I must say that you do not end up learning because of the ininity of the commands it possesses. A really well done and well written guide, what I really liked is that in some sections it is as if there were tutorials to make some skills of the program your own. Suitable for anyone who is perhaps already more experienced and who is perhaps approaching this program now. Absolutely recommended.
