CL-6CXMB.2 6.5" CDT Audio 2 Ohm Enhanced Bass Component/Coaxial Speaker Pair

I decided to finally replace the stock speakers in my wife's RAV4. I went to four different car audio shops and listened to a wide variety of brands (Alpine, Memphis, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Focal, Phoenix Gold, Infinity) Only the Focals sounded decent to my ear and they were quite expensive. I went on the caraudio message boards and looked for the best warm sounding car speakers and numerous posts mentioned CDT audio. After looking at reviews on Amazon, I decided to take a chance on a set of these speakers since I wasn't going to install a subwoofer and these speakers had a bit more bass range than the  6.5" CDT Audio 2 Ohm Coaxial Speaker Pair CL-6EX.2 I purchased a set of car speaker adapters from e**y and installed the speakers without too much trouble though the separate one way cross over required a bit more wiring and mounting. Since they are 2 ohm speakers I decided to just power them with a Kenwood 23w head unit. The sound quality of these speakers when I turned on the radio was a revelation. The tweeter is clean and precise and not fatiguing in the least. I will never buy another speaker without a silk tweeter. The bass is sharp and punchy and the mids are where this manufacturer makes every other car speaker sound like the no name Chinese speakers at Walm***. They come close to the sound of my KEF home system. Overall, CDT audio is not only the best value in car audio but also sets a new standard for sound quality in car speakers.

I installed these with the stock headunit and amp in my car which is a 2 ohm system. They sound awful and weak. When I eliminated the crossover they improved a little bit but I would not buy again.

I bought these about a month ago at first I really didn't care for them they would make a terrible noise at higher volume. Well low and behold it was me not the speakers the woofer was coming up and hitting the back side of the tweeter, I moved the tweeter out a little bit and boom there freaken awesome I would definitely recommend best door speakers I've ever had.
