High Quality replacement carbon filter, chorine taste gone
This is a carbon filter replacement for the iSpring Whole home filter system. I have had this installed at my home for about 4 years now and replace these filters yearly (I have city water). Overall I have been very happy with the quality of these filters. The entire home tastes chlorine free and I'm sure the overall quality of the water is improved but I've never had the water professionally tested. You can tell these are very high quality.Unscrewing the heavy canisters to replace the filter can be a little tough and require some strength. I would recommend lubricating the rubber seals with a food grade lubricant and not screwing them back on too tight. Also releasing the water pressure with the red buttons on the top is required.

ISpring WGB32BM and WSP-200SL - Quality Product with Quality Customer Service
have a 60 foot deep living well that I was going through filters like crazy with the whole house filter from Culligan. The well has a bunch of sediment so I was not surprised that it clogged a smaller single stage filter. The smaller filter would only get the sediment but the water would come out of the faucet with a brown tint and have a slight smell to it. I purchased the ISpring WGB32BM as well as an ISpring WSP-200SL Sediment Filter and with both of these combined the water to my cabin faucet was crystal clear, had zero sediment and had zero smell. Just to compare I set up an unopened purchased bottle of water next to a bottle of the water out of my faucet and the purchased bottle of water had visible sediment in the bottom of the bottle and the faucet water had no visible sediment at all. Fast forward two years after being installed (which was very simple) and I was changing out a well pump and had to change the location of the filtration system. I damaged the heads of the filtration system so I called ISpring and talked to Nick about purchasing the parts that I damaged. Nick was awesome and is shipping me a new one even though it was due to my fault. That is what you call great customer support.

Eliminates mold due to iron & manganese in the water
I retrofitted this iSpring filter & housing into my current whole house water filtration system. My system, prior to the FM25B installation, did a great job of removing particulate & chlorine from my public water but actually exacerbated the mold growth in my sink drains & faucet aerators, shower heads, due to the lack of chlorine. After reading up on this phenomenon I found that the culprit is residual iron & manganese in the water, which w/ the lack of chlorine to counteract the oxidation, actually promotes the growth. Thus the addition of the iSpring iron & manganese filter as the last stage in my system. Voila' , the mold is gone! No pink or brownish/black mold in the sinks, shower, etc. A 2nd benefit is that the water is now also significantly softer. I consulted w/ iSpring customer service rep Francis a couple of times prior to my purchase. He was extremely helpful, filling me in on the filter details, e.g. Fe & Mn particulate size limits. He even recommended that I contact my local water authority to verify what those #s are. FYI - that was a bit of a challenge given that these metals are NOT regulated by FDA guidelines & only measured against "recommendations". Smaller is better obviously because this determines the life of the filter. This is no small concern given the cost of the filter. Replacing it 1-2x per year is financially viable, 1/mo isn't. And finally, given the size of the filter and that it's added to my current system I decided to include a pressure regulator after the last filter stage (see pix) expecting that there'd be a pressure drop that I'd have to accommodate for. In the end, all is good, problem solved & pressure is still very good.

We use these filters for our well water and they do a great job filtering out sediment. Recently we had an issue with one of the filters and ispring's customer service was quick to respond and send us a new filter without a problem. Sean helped get us a replacement filter quickly. He was professional and friendly. Truly a great company making excellent products!

Best Filter I've Tried in 8 Years!
We have used a filtering system for over 8 years now. We live in a community with a water treatment system. It's not a complete filtering system and it also adds Chlorine. Yuk! In the beginning we used the Pentek FloPlus filters. They still go for $80 and up now on Amazon. Each time I replace a filter, I look for new alternatives. For instance, last time I found the Geekpure 20-Inch Big Blue Carbon Block Water Filter . It was close to 1/3 the price I was paying. It came with 5-star reviews. Why not! I usually know that a new filter is needed when the pressure drops. It didn't drop this time, but I looked to replace it after 10 months - a long time! This time I found this iSpring FC25B. It too was close to 1/3 the price of the Pentek with the greatest capacity of any other filter and the best promise of Chlorine removal. The pressure was great. There was not even a hint of chlorine or anything else. Great tasting water. That's what I'm looking for. Now, we'll see how long it lasts and the pressure keeps up. That's the final test. Installation is easy. Turn of water to filter. I keep bypass closed and water is directed only to outdoor hose hookup (so I can clean housing). Open any faucet in house to release pressure. Remove old filter and clean housing and install new filter. Change and lubricate O-ring (with vegetable grade lubricant). Screw housing back in "hand tight." Then with the housing wrench tighten a bit more. Finally, open valve to send water through the filter. It's usually about a 10-15 minute job.
