I hope I never have to update this review with my findings
Thankfully, we haven't had a chance to use this. I put it in my stash of emergency items "just in case".I am a bit of a survival gear nut and a prior boy scout. My wife and kids enjoy minimalist backpacking. So, naturally, I tend to keep some interesting stuff around the house "just in case".The flint and steel was actually quite impressive. While demonstrating, I might have almost accidentally started a fire. Most flint and steel kits are complete garbage and difficult to use, so I was rather impressed.The whistle works, the flashlight shines, the keychain light ... lights? and the army blade seems useful for a few things. Knife seems to work. Would like a proper can opener, but I guess i'll have to find that separately.The compass is probably okay, but I wouldn't trust my life to it. And as fun as a defensive pen sounds, it probably is best just for writing. (really, vs. the supplied knife?!)The only useless item is the "emergency space blanket". This hypothermia waiting to happen. Google is your friend on these types of blankets.

I gave these as Christmas gifts to my Boy Scout Troop and everyone loves them. You get a lot at the right price

Great handy product for a young man starting out in the world.
I like how it had everything securely packed in a watertight container I got it for a graduate who would keep it in his vehicle so he is never without and I thank you for this item.

Smaller than expected.
Good product but much smaller than shown. Roughly size of a child's hand.

Not that bad for the price
Flint works and the knife is okay really don't think we used anything else out of it so far.

Emergency survival gear kit,
