Mr.Power Spring Reverb Tank 2EB2C1B for Replacement

This reverb tank sounds great and appears to be well made. I replaced the mini tank in a Peavey Blazer 158 with this one, and the difference is night and day! It's as good as any stock reverb tank I've heard, and far better than the one that the Blazer had originally.

Put in my Fender Acoustasonic amp, and it sounds every bit as good as the Accutronics did before it died. Very good price

Bought one in 2023 and never reviewed it! I buy, repair and resell old guitar amps as a side hustle and this works great as a replacement tank for small to medium size combo amps. Used the one I bought in a small Peavey from the 80s with excellent results.

This worked great in a small "mostly leftover parts" build I did recently (tube amp, but solid state reverb driver). I was able to drive it quite well with an RC4580. The sound quality is fine. Proper mounting is a must + they are prone to pick up both near- and far-field noise (but this is the case with most reverb tanks), so filtering is prudent. I used it in a combo and found that there is a sweet-spot middle range in terms of how hard you want to drive them. Surprisingly, I encountered the most distortion when underdriven. This is not an artifact of tank distortion so much as it is the reverb-signal to ambient vibration (cone in the combo amp). But, following the usual wisdom (driving them close to their max) results in a reverb with a decay that sounds well in excess of 4 seconds (my understanding from the part number is that is should be closer to 2s). How hard you drive it impacts the perceived duration, so if you don't want a really long sounding reverb, cut the drive a little.

I really liked this reverb tank. It works very well I used it with my Frontman 15G and it ended up sounding great a massive improvement

Less than 5 minutes, replaced the old non op unit and reverb is perfect. The fit was exact, reverb sound quality is just right. Very happy. Great value.

I can't say that I am an expert in reverb tanks by any means, so take this as a semi-novice opinion. I picked up an old Peavey Nashville 400 and the original reverb tank was shot. This one has the same electrical specs as the original, just in the shorter length. For half the price of some of the better known brands I thought I'd give it a shot. I've been pretty happy with the results. I now have some decent reverb and it didn't break the bank. Would results from some of the more expensive options be better? Possibly, but I thought this one was pretty well made and I don't really have anything negative to say about the sound. If you are on the fence, I would recommend giving it a shot.

1982 Peavey Backstage 20 - old pan faded away & died. Got this one which replaced the old 4EB2C1B perfectly. Was concerned that footprint might be smaller - or - 2 springs vs 3, but can confirm: works great, plenty of splash on tap, and very useable range with full rotation of knob. Total winner, would recommend.

It’s not the right size, but it works.

worked as expected
