Smoking is really really bad and you shouldn't do it at all but these filters really help make it a cleaner smoke. I first used these in Spain and they really do make a difference. The tar will get caught in the filter. I can imagine it has to help your lungs at least a little bit. I use these in my joints filled with medical. DISCLAIMER. Smoking kills and causes cancer and shouldn't be done under any circumstances. Your lungs are not meant to inhale anything but Oxygen and even one puff is bad for you. SMOKING KILLS DONT DO IT

These filters are for tobacco pipes, and are the second most common size; most pipes which accept a filter take either a 6mm or 9mm insert, and Dr. Grabow pipes from a US company are likely the most widely available tobacco pipes sold in les etats unis; they take 6mm paper filters. European pipes usually use 9mm inserts of various makes or no filter at all. If your filters don't fit, you've got the wrong size. (Unless it's a handmade pipe, which would probably have cost enough money to make it worth knowing about any appurtenances needed.) So, don't order filters until you know what you need. And ignore the AI-like instructions re: masks that work with these filters. You can get giant bags of them, so try to avoid buying more than 200 of them if you're not sure.

Have to use a little spit to make it fit in the stem, but they work great
