Super cute and fun. Easy to use

Our grandson, age 3, loves to act out things he sees in YouTube videos. So he asked for a camera and we got this for him. He had no trouble using it with no help at all (he already navigates Gizmo, iPad, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV with ease). He loves to take pictures! "Say cheese" he says. He loves the flip-back lens to take selfies. He can flip through his pics and play the silly sounds. I can import them into a Mac mini with no trouble and then show them on the big TV to his delight. He has access to the camera without asking permission so it gets bounced around plenty and is doing fine. He loves using the tripod and the camera also fits a standard tripod fine. When I put my iPhone on a tripod for some occasion, he will put his camera on a tripod too to play along. I got a microSD chip for it which didn't cost much so he can shoot shoot shoot. Don't order a microSD until you get the camera to be sure you get exactly the correct type. There was zero set-up for the micrsoSD, it just worked. I rated picture quality a 5 because this is an inexpensive kid's camera and quality is fine for that.

I called VTech customer service and they said they will send a replacement camera without me having to return the old one. However, in order to receive a replacement camera, I had to "deface the product" by writing a specific number on my defective unit with Sharpie and emailing a pic of the defaced product to VTech. This is probably to prevent anyone from using a unit for multiple warranty replacements. Still a weird policy. I talked a manager into letting me write this number on the front of the camera instead of on the display screen. Since the selfie mode and the camera games still work fine, it seemed like a waste to just wreck the whole camera instead of being able to still use it in a limited capacity while we wait for the new one to arrive.Bottom line: A great video and photo camera for kids, call VTech directly for any warranty issues.

Each of my 4 smaller children has one of these cameras. I bought three last year for the holidays for them and my oldest of the 4 decided he wanted one this year so I made another purchase for one. My children are ages 6-8-9- and 10. We are a low media family and none of my children have phones, tablets, or anything like it. The cameras are and have been a huge hit here. They have played with these cameras nearly every day for a year now. They really enjoy making funny videos of each other. The phone looks and is high quality, Super easy to use, VERY durable, and the battery life is wonderful. My children have dropped these cameras countless times. Some of them have been left outside overnight and once in the rain. I thought the camera left in the rain was a goner, nope! That thing is still working like new. The camera looks cool. Image quality is great. The only con I can recall is the video recording time. I wish it recorded longer videos.

I bought this as a birthday present for my granddaughter. She has spent a lot of time using it. She finds it easy to operate and is having a lot of fun exploring all the different ways to be creative.The seller processed the order very quickly.

As other have noted, this thing stops charging after a while. This is my second one, and as with the first, it has stopped charging and a message on-screen indicated that the small switch on the bottom needs to be flipped, however it is, and no matter which way the switch is flipped, it won't charge. Why is there even a switch at all? Who knows, but 2 strikes and you're out KidiZoom.Video quality wasn't ever great, but it was ok for kids to play with while it worked. The greenscreen thing is fun if your lighting is good.Just very odd to have a switch that can completely brick your camera, that really serves no good purpose, and is clearly prone to breaking.
