Rise of the Isle of the Lost-A Descendants Novel: A Descendants Novel (The Descendants)

Melissa has written another great Descendants book. I couldn't put the book down (hence still be up at 2:44am). I can't wait to see if she has another book up her sleeve! The characters come alive & you feel like your there also, or like your watching a movie spread out in front of you. What a great way to pass the time until the movie comes out in July.

My 9 year old was so excited to receive this book over the weekend! She struggles with reading -- so anytime I can find a book that she enjoys - it's a good thing!

It was an enjoyable read as always and thanks to the authorFor writing another great story. I loved the character Interactions between them.

Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are back at it--I just love these characters. However, I liked the first two books a lot better than this one. Although, it was interesting to learn more about the other villain kids (like Uma, Harry, etc.) and how their lives have changed due to the original four leaving the island or when the magical barrier on the island mysteriously disappeared a couple of times. This book was interesting addition to the series, I have no clue if more will be added, but I did enjoy reading this. I recommend the entire series to YA readers.

This book was a really well written one with twists and turns and just when it gets better, a twist happens to make even better! I recommend this book for people who enjoy reading as much as I do.

This was a great introduction to the villains of the movie coming up. I can not wait to see it. I had so much fun reading this book. I recommend it to everyone.

She lov s the book

This book does a good job of tying up the loose ends from the previous book and gives us a prequel for Descendants 2. After seeing the trailers for Descendants 2, this book provides a better insight on what is going on. If you plan to watch Descendants 2, I highly recommend that you read this book because it fills in the blanks that I don't think the movie will answer or explain.Overall I enjoyed reading this book and enjoyed the story.

Honestly think this is the weakest book in the franchise, the author appears to have forgotten how to write the characters and has them behaving OOC. Given how cracking the first book was and with the new movie held out high hopes for this one, but I would not recommend. Which is a real shame because the new characters are great.

My daughter loves this series and if it gets her reading I'm all for it.
