Excellent book for curious students--young and adult!
This book was just what I needed for supplementary reading for my adult literacy student--middle grade reading level and adult interest level. The author presents an engaging story of Henry Ford's life and his place in American history. The book is illustrated by excellent line drawings on almost every page. The prose is straight forward with plenty of new words to expand the student's working vocabulary and to inspire discussion. I plan to use other books from the "Who Was..." series with adult English learners eager to learn about the history of their new country.

The book was good
The book talks about how he was born in Michigan and he was always very interested in mechanics and watched. His family used to give him watched and he would take them apart and then rebuild them. In school he would fix his friends watches during class. When he got older he went to Detroit and came back with the idea of building a gas transmitted car. The first gas transmitted car was built by a guy named Karl Benz that lived in germany. Henry Ford built the first Ford vehicle and then multiple of other people started building cars such as the car Lincoln. He made the model T and sold it for $850 and almost everyone started buying them. They were shipped all over the world. Then his only son died and then one day a vein in his head pooped and he died the next day 100,000 people gathered to honor him

4th grader approved
My son is really into non-fiction books, and finding interesting non-fiction reads that aren't too difficult to read can be hard. The "Who is/was" books are just his speed, and specifically the Henry Ford one he liked because of his love of cars.
