I have read some reviews regarding this and similar products that were negative, but I have to say I have not had any problems.I bought this as a little desktop gadget for my office. I knew it was on the small side, and that's what I wanted. I wouldn't say it was "gumball" sized as I read elsewhere. True, the globe is only about 3" in diameter, but that's just fine for a desk with little real estate on it.Another review said that their's got hot. I have not experienced that. I have had it running all day and it is generating no heat (I have it plugged in via the included USB cable).It works nicely, just like the big ones... touch it, and the bolts follow your finger. If you have a brightly lit office, the effect is reduced as you don't see the bolts as well. I tend to leave my lights off and use the natural light from my window, so it shows up fairly well.

Nine year old LOVED this. Both the seven year old and four year wanted one too. Gender neutral. Easy to turn off and on and good switch location. Use with caution, the power part can easily come loose, or if dropped, the glass globe will likely break.Replacement bulbs can be found at most department, hardware stores and Amazon. Check the watts before buying.Note, THIS lamp is the mini/small version. The globe is apx size of an apple, bit larger than a pool ball. It's a good size to start with the larger ones, you will see more of the colors and movement.

Product arrived on time. I bought it for my girls they are amazed by it. It's just as shown in the picture. The only thing I would change if I was the company would be to make the plug in part on the product more secure. But all in all it's still going strong and I would recommend...

It works BUT it is no bigger than a tennis ball not worth 15 bucks more like 5 buck you will be disappointed when it arrives

Bought for son who would not have wanted a more expensive version as that would have reduced his birthday gift haul. I explained that I didn't know how long it would last but for a toy that a child may want a lot less weeks, months from now, this hit the bill. I like that it's powered through a USB plug. My child brought it in the back seat of the car on an evening trip and enjoyed the lights on the car ride.

It still works 6 months later but it is so dem that it's hard to see the conduction. It has to be used in a dark room now or you can't see it

It was a great gift for my 17 year old grandson!! He loved it but wish it made static so when you touch it your hair would stand up. Otherwise, it is fun to watch the bolts of light strike out when you touch the ball. Great value !!

Exactly as pictured! Works great. Fun little plasma ball that was a nice budget option, alternative to getting a big expensive one. The globe is indeed glass, which is an added bonus! Takes batteries or plugs in. Got it for my adult spouse for a little bit of nostalgia. Good novelty purchase!

Worst experience that I have ever had! After more than weeks wait, I got this as shown. The wrapping paper seems to have been gnawed by bugs. Will never choose this seller again...
