My husband gets each of our granddaughters a special music box when they turn 16 years old. It is a tradition started when he gave my one on my sixteenth birthday almost fifty years ago. This music box is absolutely beautiful, great quality, and plays a special song dear to our hearts, "you are my sunshine". Very very special music box.

It’s not a nice as when it was a San Francisco music box product, but is still very nice, makes a nice gift. Haven’t used it yet, just made sure the music worked. So can’t comment on longevity.

The colors and details are incredible, the music sounds clear, and the weight of it is quality. It was very easy to assemble the horse to turn when playing. Don't let those instructions scare you away...it was a piece of cake. It arrived well packed and protected. My granddaughter is going to love it, that is if I can part with it...lol
