2Pack Portable Door Lock, Hotel Travel Door Lock Security for Home

Very useful and surprisingly sturdy for such a small and portable product. It’s super easy to use and takes only a few seconds to install or remove. I really like the extra sense of security it provides, especially when staying in hotels or traveling. It doesn’t take up much space in a bag, so it’s easy to keep with you wherever you go. The fact that it comes as a 2-pack is also a nice bonus. Simple, practical, well made, and definitely gives you some extra peace of mind.

I love these locks, they’re perfect for my little apartment and my young daughter can’t open the door.We feel much safer with these locks in place every night.

I use these frequently, however they are not compatible with EVERY hotel lock. For the most park though you can use them on various doors in hotels or air BNB, whatever. They're sturdy, I always have someone stand outside the door and test it. I will say though they are loud when they fall off when you open the door. Easy to use and fits most doors.

**Portable Door Lock 2-Pack - Extra Lock for Additional Privacy and Safety** **A Must-Have for Travelers—Simple and Effective Security for Peace of Mind** I recently started using the Portable Door Lock 2-Pack while traveling for work, and it has quickly become an essential part of my travel routine. These locks are perfect for adding an extra layer of security and privacy when staying in hotels, Airbnbs, or even at home. **What I Liked:** - **Enhanced Security and Privacy**: These portable locks are designed to prevent unauthorized entry, and they do an excellent job. Once installed, they make it nearly impossible for anyone to open the door from the outside, even if they have a key. This added security gives me peace of mind, especially when staying in unfamiliar places. I can sleep comfortably knowing that I’m safe from potential intrusions. - **Easy to Use**: The locks are incredibly easy to install and remove. They require no tools or special skills—just insert the metal piece into the door strike, close the door, and then fit the red handle into the metal piece. The whole process takes only a few seconds, and the locks stay firmly in place. This simplicity makes them perfect for quick setup when you arrive at your hotel room or Airbnb. - **Compact and Portable**: These locks are small, lightweight, and come with their own carrying pouch, making them easy to pack and bring along on any trip. They don’t take up much space in my luggage, and I appreciate how convenient they are to carry around. Whether I’m traveling for work or leisure, I always make sure to have them with me. - **Versatile Use**: While I primarily use these locks in hotel rooms, they’re versatile enough to be used in various settings, including apartments, bedrooms, or even at home. They’re a great solution for anyone needing extra security in a shared living space or for those who simply want additional peace of mind. - **Durable Construction**: The locks are made from sturdy metal and high-quality plastic, ensuring they hold up well over time. Despite their small size, they feel durable and reliable, which is crucial for a security product. I’ve used them multiple times, and they still work as effectively as when I first got them. **What I Didn’t Like:** - **Limited Compatibility**: The locks work on most inward-opening doors, but they’re not compatible with all door types. For instance, they won’t work on sliding doors or doors that open outward. While this is understandable given their design, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re staying in a place with non-standard doors. Always check the door type before relying solely on these locks for security. - **Issues with Doors That Have Gaps**: I noticed that these locks can struggle to work properly on hotel room doors with large gaps between the door and the frame. If there’s too much space, the lock may not engage securely, which reduces its effectiveness. In some hotels, this meant the lock didn’t work as well as expected, though it performed perfectly in rooms with snug-fitting doors. - **No Built-In Alarm**: While these locks provide physical security, they don’t have any built-in alarm or alert system. If someone attempts to open the door, the lock will stop them, but you won’t be immediately alerted. An audible alarm feature could enhance the product, though the current design still offers excellent protection. **Bottom Line:** The Portable Door Lock 2-Pack is a highly effective and convenient solution for adding extra security and privacy when traveling. Its ease of use, compact size, and sturdy construction make it an essential accessory for anyone concerned about safety in hotels, Airbnbs, or even at home. However, if your hotel room door has a large gap, the lock may not engage properly, so it’s important to check the fit. Despite this, the locks offer significant peace of mind, and I highly recommend them for travelers looking to enhance their personal security while on the road.

Weight is a non issue you could hold 50 in your hand.

I was doubtful that something so inexpensive would actually work and a little confused about how, but oh my I am SO glad I bought these and will buy more for travel because these are staying in my home! They fit BOTH my bedroom door and my front door! And- they WORK. No one can key or open the door when these are on! My landlord has keyed in on me with no notice; NEVER again! These do EXACTLY what I need and are quick and easy to both set and remove. They are very small and light and come with with a travel pouch, very discreet and will fit in a small purse. Note that they only work on inward closing doors, as most are. Also note that my purpose is NOT to disable my landlord from coming in- which these devices absolutely DO that- I have repeatedly asked my landlord to give proper notice and to give me time to open the door and let them in, because they keyed in on me without notice when I was in bed. I let them in, but they can no longer disregard me and key in on me unaware. This is what you get for doing that, we are 2 females protecting ourselves, as we should. No more keying in on us without even giving us time to open the door to you. I have a cat and this makes us all feel safer. I plan to use these in hotels as well- no more risk of people entering our room while we are there and have asked Do Not Disturb. We can sleep securely without worry at any hour. This product offers SO much peace of mind. And as women- safety! They are durable. I recommend replacing your front door’s short screw with a long reinforced one as well, no one can tell and your door will be much more difficult if not impossible to kick in, and use THIS PRODUCT. As a woman- you can never be too safe, and peace of mind is everything!

The chain on the black one broke on my 1st attempt at setting up the devise. I would give it a zero rating if your rating system allowed.

Doesn't sute all doors.

Love these! Super sturdy, no issues at all. They give peace of mind during traveling, super compact, would definitely buy more of these, but probably won’t ever need to replace them

Good quality, useful, durable.
