I have been using the litter genie refills for two decades now. They are easy to install into the bottom of the litter genie itself. I actually bought a second one to put in another bathroom. Wouldn’t be without it. It’s a real godsend in a house with four cats.

So I searched for coupons, cash back deals for actual name brand litter maid refills. Which, I couldn’t find a single one!! One reviewer mentioned using individual waste bags by tucking it up into the empty cartridge, another made a video review of just that. So I took a chance on ordering these, and if they didn’t fit, I could scoop waste into one of these bags, secure the opening and keep it in my litter maid. Well, they do fit. They do work. YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR EMPTY REFILL CARTRIDGE HOUSING to tuck each bag into it when you need a new bag. Reviewers also mentioned that these cheap pieces of plastic used for refills break easily, so be careful.

I've been using Litter Genie refill bags for a while now, and they make a huge difference in keeping odors under control. The bags are durable, easy to load into the Litter Genie system, and hold a around a week's worth of litter for two cats. Even though they are quite pricey they are worth the price for the convenience and cleanliness. I’ve tried off-brand versions before and normal waste bags, but these original refills seem to work the best at keeping the odors at bay. Would highly recommend to any cat owner!
