Great value, use it for cooking and salad dressings.

One way and another I use a lot of balsamic vinegar, so it makes sense to buy it in larger bottles. I use two different qualities of it, depending on what I'm going to be using it for - a slow-pouring, 'premium' quality for anything where the vinegar is going to be front and centre, and this 'everyday' quality for everything else, like a really tasty salad dressing. It's a good flavour, and an excellent buy.

Doesn't taste like real balsamic

I do realise that this is a cheap "manufactured" balsamic and not the real deal, and I bought it for cooking and marinading, not for dressings. We but quality BofM for dressings. However, this liquid does not taste like balsamic vinegar at all. It has an industrial strong vinegar taste and smell that is rather unpleasant. It is cheap and I may try reducing down 500ml of it with some honey to see if the flavour and thickness can be improved. I do not recommend it if this sample is typical and would not buy it again.
