I rescued a youngish cat, whom I found out had urinary tract issues shortly after. I had tried regular food like Friskies, regular Purina, and Fancy Feast being a new time cat owner. When I noticed the issues, I had taken him to a vet, and spoken to my aunt (also a vet). When speaking with them, both emphasized the importance of diet in taking preventative measures. They said the biggest mistake people make in young cats is ignoring the issue, which can be exacerbated over time, and lead to higher medical bills. Sort of like when people ignore a medical issue, and it accumulates over time. Since he had a rough beginning, it caused his issues. I tried prescription urinary wet cat food, but he was not a fan of the taste. It was also more expensive, so I was confused, especially because he likes to eat. I talked to my aunt again, and she recommended giving this a try. She also suggested trying each of the flavors, in an effort to see what he would like best. The turkey giblets was a success! The chicken and beef was a close second. I wanted to wait before giving a review, and it has been almost six months. His issues have gone under control, and not only is he happier, but I am too! I also like that this item can be used as a subscribe and save. That saves me a little money (I will take what I can get), but I also have it set up so I get the right amount each month, and do not have to worry about picking up his food. Since he likes it better than the prescription ones, is cheaper, and his health is great, I gave it four stars. The reason for a loss of stars is because you can tell he does not like it as much as regular food, and I also wish they had more flavors available. I would like to change it up more since there are two flavors he does not like, and I wish they would come out with new ones.

My cat is producing stones and needs food with a different level of magnesium. She also has a really sensitive stomach and out of about ten varietes of food she would only eat and able to keep down that one kind. When the vet told me I needed to change her food I felt sick thinking of all the vomit I would be cleaning up, if she will even eat it. I am also on a tight budget. I just couldn't afford the rx stuff and hoped I could find something that would meet kitty's needs and I could afford. I really am not informed enough to know whether they use high quality ingredients in the food or the flavor of each variety. It had the right protein and magnesium content and is a wet food. Also needs to have taurine. Those were my nutritional requirements. She seems to prefer the beef and tuna but will eat the flavors in the variety pack if she must. She will paw at me telling me she wants her preferred flavors but she will eat them all. She has not been making any more stones so I plan to stick with this until her needs change or Purina has too many more recalls.

Convenient and easy to feed but a little expensive. Trying something else as cat didn’t seem to “gobble” it down.

I recommend this based 100% on the fact that my cat loves it. He has terrible issues with recurring urinary blockage issues, so this wet cat food is a good supplement to the prescription dry urinary food he has to eat. He eats it - I am so happy. I buy the 3 oz cans, it is pricey, but he eats it and none of it goes to waste. I buy the Beef & Chicken (combined in one can) entree.
