SNS Dipping Powder (set of 2) Gel Top, Gelous Base .5oz

I love SNS products, but I’m having trouble with my top coat hardening around the brush. The top coat pictured in the Amazon ad is different from the top coat in the complete set and individually, so I ordered one of each. Unfortunately I received two identical top coats with this order. I have written SNS about this.

When these bottles came to me, one had clearly been leaking. There was dried liquid on the outside and they both were very thick once I opened them. I have been doing dip nails at home for over 3 years, this is not usually the consistency of new dip liquids.

After watching utube videos over and over, the trick with the gelous base is use it sparingly and as thin as you can get it on your brush. And dip at least 2 to 3 coats of a color. Then use gel base (Green top) and dip in clear powder so when you file, I use a 180 grit and e-file with fine sanding paper. Then a sanding block till very smooth. Then the secret to get the top coat (red top) smooth and shiny is, use the dry sealer after the clear dip then file (sorry got it backwards) another coat of dry sealer and now the secret ALCOHOL!!!!. Take a nail remover pad you can buy them online or at Sally's they are cotton but flat squares, saturate them with alcohol((90%) and clean the nail well. Takes off all leftover powder and remaining sealer. Then put on first coat of top coat . I have a small fan and let dry one minute,Add second coat let dry 2-3 minutes in front of fan and it is hard and shiny, follow with cuticle oil. I have had more trouble with this top coat drying and drying with a matte instead of shiny finish. thanks to utube, I finally got it perfect, Hope this helps!

Unfortunately sold without sealer. That’s huge issue for me.

Great for dipping

I was hesitant to purchase after several bad reviews however my experience was great! Product arrived and it did not leak. I watched a few SNS dip nail you tube videos and followed the instructions as described. Perfection!!! The Gelous Base does not smell. There is a slight odor to the top coat but not terrible. The top coat - very thin layers works best. It is recommended to use a seal and protect which is not included in this set. Overall - a win!!

Fast shipping. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because the gel top (red lid) bottle is a white plastic bottle. The plastic bottle looks “cheap” and the items on Amazon were both glass. The plastic bottle is much lighter and feels more likely to get knocked over.

Well received. however disappointed, I receive a top gel plastic and not glass as in the photo. I do not like plastic bottles !! bad quality for me. And the brush of the top gel looks bad, it remains frozen!
