Gumby electric cord!
Okay, call me crazy but I LOVE my pretty blue and red Gumby cords! I used them in the freezing snowstorms on the snowblower and they unwound and wound up like a dream and now they are surviving the Midwest heat and humidity powering the lawnmower and trimmer/edger. They haven't cracked at the plug like the old orange ones did. Not only do they do the job as promised, but they're sexy and sinuous across my shoulder so I won't run them over and are quite the fashion accessory as we boogie around the lot. I wouldn't dance with any other cord.

Best plugin cord I have owned.
This cord has a mixed coating of rubber and plastic. The "traditional" blue cords that are plastic last to -40F. The "extreme" ones you find in stores are mostly rubber and last to about -55F. This lasts much lower (supposedly -90F).When you first plug it in you feel the cord is different and better quality.Previous blue cords I have had frayed in 1-2 years at the plugin end and needed to be replaced. The plug itself was harder to plugin the colder it became. After some while the plugin would become somewhat worn and blue sparks would run through the inside of the cord. Not what you would want or hope to happen especially in just 1-2 years. This cord looks like will last at a minimum 4-5 years as I currently use it to plugin a vehicle in the winter time in central Alaska.

Survived ND winter
I live in ND, where winters can get colder than -30f. I got a set of these for the wife and I's block heaters. Even in the dead of winter, these cables bend and move like it's the middle of summer. I have normal outdoor extension cables that are almost unusable due to how stiff they get when it is cold out. I also appreciate the illuminated plugin, because not all the block heater outlets at my job actually work.

Great addition (replacement) to garage shop.
Power tools run better with these on house 12/3 wiring with 30amp breaker for garage. 16/3 cords would get really warm with portable air compressor, 1/2" drill press, 120v wood & metal lathe(s), 20amp Sawzall, grinders and cut-off electric tools that could be a problem; however, these cords reduce heat and provided better operating current.

one didn't work
These cords are really nice, and exactly what I wanted; however, one of them didn't work, so set was returned. This company was diligent about the return with no hassles. I would order from them again.

For cold temperature or otherwise
These are indeed flexible at cold temperatures. I wonder why they don't make all extension cords like these.
