Fits 2012 civic LX
Fits 2012 Honda Civic LX, Works perfectly.install is a 10 minute job. taking out 2 screws and prying off the clipped in panel, unplugging the cable from the old aux port and squeezing the sides to pop out the old port, then you can just snap the new port in and plug the cable back in and its done. After undoing the 2 screws pull the panel from the bottom with a good amount of force, it wont break its just clipped in tight

Easy DIY
Thought I had a bad auxiliary cord. I replaced and had the same issue with it not registering when the auxiliary cord was plugged in. YouTubed the issue for my 2012 Honda civic and found this part I needed. To my surprise it worked! No longer do I have to drive with my head phones to listen to my pod casts!

Problem Solved!
For the longest time, I wondered why I was getting errors whenever I connected my aux cord to my smart phone. I thought it was the cord being defective, so I got a new one. After 1 use of it, I got the same error again. I finally decided to go online and see if everyone else was having this issue. Then, I went to YouTube and learned that the Aux port was malfunctioning so I looked for the video to match my car and found a solution. I came across this part as it seemed to similar to the one in the DIY video. It came on time in a little box and bagged in plastic.Thankfully, replacing it wasn't very difficult. When I plugged my phone in, I got sound coming through my car's speakers. Now can listen to YT while I'm driving.
