Great Prenatal Vitamins with Real Results
I’ve been taking Ritual Prenatal Vitamins and I really love them. The aftertaste is actually really good compared to other vitamins I’ve tried. They’re easy to take and don’t upset my stomach. I’ve noticed real hair growth and my skin looks clearer too. I feel like I have more energy during the day. These are definitely worth the money!

They work
I got on these as when my husband and I were thinking of TTC (I am 40). We did not get pregnant but as a multi vitamin these are the best thing I’ve ever taken. They’ve completely changed the way I feel, my mental focus, I’m literally a whole different person. I tried getting on the other regular multi vitamins because we decided against TTC and I started forgetting things again, my mental focus was off. If I go a week without these, I can definitely tell. I highly recommend these!

The smell is highly pleasant.
Overall, I love these vitamins. I've been taking them for 7 years now. I started with the regular mint ones and then when I decided to try to get pregnant, I switched to the prenatal. The lemon essence that accompanies the prenatal is far more pleasant during pregnancy than the mint was. I feel as though they met most of vitamin needs, although I did have to take an extra iron pill because I'm chronically anemic. During pregnancy, because I deal with hyperemesis, I had a hard time swallowing the pills. My gag reflex was very sensitive and I feel that while they are a normal sized capsule, they would have been easier to take had they been smaller. Over the years the prices have fluctuated significantly, mostly heading up, which has made taking them a costly endeavor. The main cons of this product other than the price are that sometimes the bottle arrives and is missing some of the vitamins, and the other is that the pills eventually turn dark, even if they aren't expired. The customer service has always been great though and they've been quick to end replacements.

Absolutely amazing!
I was on another prenatal for about a month before I tried this one. I was constantly sick and exhausted, but I just blamed it on first trimester hormones. When I was about to run out, I decided to switch. Holy cow. I feel like a new person! I honestly went & got an emergency ultrasound this morning b/c all my symptoms disappeared within about 3 days of me switching. (Baby's heart rate is strong & they're growing perfectly!) I spent almost a month feeling constantly nauseated, my stomach was my enemy, and I felt completely useless due to exhaustion. For a couple of days now, I haven't had nausea, my stomach is all back to normal, and I have all the energy. My only complaint is that the lemon smell is really strong. I'm the type that likes to take pills with food, so I really can't with these b/c the smell is overpowering and makes whatever I'm eating taste weird. So, plain ice water it is. I just hold my breath. I've seen some people post about "fishy burps." I personally haven't had that, though very shortly after taking them there's a very faint aftertaste in the back of my throat, if that makes sense. But honestly, I'll take a strong lemon smell over the gross pills I was taking before. Plus, it's the smallest price to pay to feel this good.

Works great!
I was told that with this pregnancy that I have the MTHFR and protein S deficiency and that I had to take a special kind of prenatal, which stunk because I had just purchased a bunch of high quality prenatals off amazon that I can’t use. I was told by my OB to look for a prenatal with methyltetrahydrafolate. This ended up being a difficult task. I could hardly find anything but did eventually find the ritual brand. I was impressed with the clear capsules with the liquid contents where you could see the ingredients. The pill size was also tolerable as I was taking a prenatal previously that was like a horse pill. I also liked the idea of the pill flavoring as supplements can taste awful. I bought the citrus flavor and it didn’t leave any sort of an aftertaste. One thing I wasn’t crazy about was the price as $43 is pretty steep for once a month. I ended up getting the subscription and saving 15% and then I bought a bunch of bottles during cyber week for about $23 to hold me over for the duration of my pregnancy. They also make a postnatal, which from my understanding with the MTHFR gene I will need to take this form of folate for the rest of my life. I don’t recognize if I have any changes as to energy but I am in my last trimester so everything for me is low energy and I’m always tired. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. This is great for pregnant women/new moms like me that can’t process folic acid normally and need this other form.***UPDATE***I just wanted to update that I am still on this prenatal. It’s been almost 6 months that I’ve been on it and I continue to like taking it. Two capsules a day at night and nothing ever comes back up with an after taste. There’s nothing negative to report. I still recommend this brand and have bottles of the post natal lined up to take after the baby is born.****Final Update****I had the baby and switched over to the postnatal. At the moment the postnatal only comes in a mint flavor as the citrus is unavailable. I can’t say it’s my favorite flavor for a pill but the taste is pretty brief. I suggest this as a post step after birth for any ladies that need a good, comprehensive postnatal, which I have heard we all need for ourselves and for the babies (if you’re breast feeding).
