This is 100% absolutely necessary if you film @ 4k 60p or higher. It sucks that it's so expensive, but look at it as an investment. You already invested in the monitor/external recorder and this is the unfortunate necessary cherry on top. I've purchased and returned maybe 5 or 6 HDMI cables that couldn't handle the data rate. This cable is built to last and I haven't had a single hiccup recording 4.2k 4:2:2 footage.Make the investment.

I got this to connect my Ninja V to my Canon R5 because it was the Atomos branded cable. Normally I would buy from the manufacturer but I lost my original cable and needed this in a hurry. The price point is fair considering I was able to get it next day. There are a lot of negative reviews but this is what it says it is. Like any cable should be, I have secured it with cable locks. I have had no issues with it whatsoever. I wanted the short length so I didn’t have a extra cable slack. Being coiled that helped even more. No issues with relaying anything including 4k 10 bit from camera to monitor. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend to others.

Garbage for $80 cable. Rarely used and you can tell it’s cheap if you look at their design. The rubber wire tube just came off on its own as if the bonding glue dried out…Still works but not for long. Wire metals are sticking out. Frustrating!!!Providing pictures for proof. Bought it in Oct 2023. Well kept and rarely used and it’s done. Crazy. I’m starting to dislike atomos products. Wasting more money than I should

Great cable, but spendy.

Definitely feels like the most all round solid HDMI chord ever used.I purchased a spare I'll more than likely never need...The price is crazy insane, but they know it's the only reliable chord to do 4k 60 Prores.You know you already have an Atmos, the chord is legit. It even looks cool. Just do it already.

so far so good, it works great and is super heavy duty. I don't think it's ever going to go bad. really thick cable. the last one I had was really thing and eventually stopped working, so I happy so far with this cable.

- obviously expensive for an hdmi cable+ I tried two others, this is the only one that was able to do 4k60@10bit color+ the cable seems strong- the hdmi connectors don't have a strong connection like the ZILR brand

I was one of those people searching desperately for a less expensive HDMI for the Ninja V. Tried 3 others, none worked. This does. Still unnecessarily expensive.

I wouldn’t trust this seller. Buy atomos cables directly from atomos.
