This instrument is ok for diy jobs at home where complete accuracy is not a factor. If this were to be used in an environment where more precision were required I believe a better quality instrument would be more suitable. But this is a decent instrument for the price.

Nicely made tools.
This micrometer is nicely made and will be very useful. For what it costs you definitely can't go wrong.

Don't waste your money. Its utter trash.
Came packaged if you can call it that in nothing more than a one side see through plastic zip lock bag. The rachet mech was in pieces and when checked against a set of feeler gauges it is so far inaccurate its honestly laughable. If i could give it -5 stars i would. DO NOT BUY THIS. Look elswhere and add a £5 to your budget you'll get better.

Rough machine work but good enough for the money.
Machining on the avils is very rough but it seems repeatable and accurate enough for everyday use... Don't get me wrong, you're not going to be measuring the optics for your new space telescope with it but for general tasks such as measuring shims to set engine clearances etc it's good enough.
