Q: Will this pair work with the boss 616uab or will it blow?

Yes it will work with them but keep in mind these are cheap, relatively low power speakers, and with that in mind you cant expect them to come anywhere close to speakers that cost double the money or more. When it comes to vehicle audio parts (speakers, subs, stereos, amps, etc.), price has a direct correlation to quality in every aspect. Now when it comes to speakers in this class of price range and wattage these definately are some of the best speakers you can get. Just remember you bought them because they are some of the cheapest so set your standard for how they should perform to reflect that.

Q: Does both sides of the speaker terminals need to be wired up in order for the lights to work? I have just 1 side I have sound but no light.

Yes if you look one side is for speakers and the other set of terminals is for the LED light. We will have to run 12 volt power from your battery over to those lights it's recommended for a inline fuse to be put on each a positive side of the wire for each speaker light the black is a ground it could be grounded to the metal frame of the door.
