Great little fan
The media could not be loaded. Perfect size. Works well but only one speed, either on or off. It keeps me cool, it is perfect for right by the bed when I need some air movement at night. The air flow is good and it is decently quiet (see video). I had a plastic fan before this that was absolutely silent and I wasn't even sure if it was on if I couldn't feel the air movement, so comparatively this one has a little noise but not bad at all. Design is so adorable and looks nice on my nightstand whereas my old plastic one was ugly. Overall I love it but I am not sure the price was totally worth it. It was like $27 or something and I waited for it to go down. It finally went down to $19 which still feels like too much honestly.

Perfect Tiny Desk Fan
This thing is the perfect tiny desk fan. It blows just enough to give you a nice fresh breeze, but not so much that it is flapping your hair around. It’s virtually silent while running, looks great, and feels solid. I’ve used mine for months with no issues and it is still great. If you are looking for a tiny desk fan that can, this is the one.

Nice little fan with a retro look.
Its small enough to easily fit on a small table. The copper color metal constriction is giving off a retro style. I has some weight to it so its not easily knocked over. It has two speeds and is more than adequate for needing a fan by your recliner to cool off one person. It runs fairly quiet.

provides plenty of cooling wind.
Works well for my side table, and provides plenty of cooling wind. Surprise at the quiet sound, has a little, I want that in a fan. Looks classy!

Surprisingly effective and unobtrusive
I bought this when I was moved to an office on the east-southeast-facing side of my 1960s office building, aka Satan's buttcrack. This fan couldn't change the fact that on a sunny day my office can hit 93F by 11 am, BUT setting it to blow straight on my face is actually surprisingly helpful. It is a very small fan - you're not going to cool off a whole room with this, nor will it do much if you're moving around. But if you're sitting in front of a computer all day, this works pretty well and is well worth the price. You can definitely hear it, but I'd call it a quiet whir. For me, it's not distracting, and if anything is a nice little white noise in the background, but it's not silent, if you're very sensitive to noises. Also, I mostly find it a comfortable level of air movement - not too strong to have blowing on your face for a stretch - but that's subjective, so this might annoy some people. But overall, I much prefer this for its intended purpose, rather than something bigger and heavier that's just going to blow hot air and papers around the room.I also honestly think it's cute - it's really nice to have something metal that feels and looks a little more substantial than you'd usually get for this price.

Small but Efficient
I love this fan. It is small but efficient. I love the color and design. It comes with a standard plug so there is no battery life. It is small but powerful allowing a standard room to feel comfortable. There are two modes for the air volume low and high but both seem to be effective. It was definitely worth the value.

Works good, looks nice!
Looks nice, good size and fits on a small table or desk, like the 2 speed settings, not overly loud.

Looks good but breeze is weak
I purchased two mini-fans for my desk at work because the air conditioning in my office doesn't always work. I purchased this vintage model because I love the look and it goes with my office decor which I guess one would describe as '1920's Hollywood'. I also purchased another fan, The Homes 4 inch rechargeable mini personal fan. HANDS DOWN, I would recommend the rechargeable version for the same price, even though it lacks the vintage look. The vintage version, I wish came in solid silver. The copper and silver version is a little more feminine looking whereas I think a solid silver option would look nicer in a male centered office. I am impressed by the look and the build of this (minus the ugly black Holmes logo in the center, which really detracts from the look). For twelve bucks, I was surprised that a majority of this is made of metal ... maybe to it's detriment. The other fan I mentioned is fully made of plastic and maybe that's why the blades spin faster creating a better breeze. At best, this creates a wispy stream of air that will not really cool you down. It moves the air in your vicinity a bit making things more comfortable in a stuffy room but for the most part will not cool you the way breezier fans will. Because it doesn't blow very hard, it is very silent. The motor on my plastic mini fan is much louder ... but also more effective. This vintage version has 1 speed, which would equate to low speed on my 3 speed mini-fan.One bummer is that this was just thrown into a tyvek envelope with no packing at all, which meant the box was incredibly beat up and the fan inside was scratched up on the metal where the chord inside slid around. This is some of the laziest packaging I've seen from Amazon. Think twice if you are buying this as a present.Overall, it's an attractive looking little fan. For the low price I will keep it for my guest room in case anyone stays over who would like a little fan noise and slight breeze while they are laying in bed. However, I would highly recommend you look at the all plastic rechargeable Homes mini fan over this ... from a function standpoint and performance standpoint, it's night and day better! If you are going purely for looks ... this little fan is pretty cool.
