Excellent device
My husband is an OTR truck driver. The original price of this GPS is over $500 at the truck stops. Thanks to Amazon for the (2) sale we bought it for $299. He loves this GPS, the quality is excellent. From the accuracy of maps, picture quality, color etc., it's an amazing device, he loves it.

Works Great at first, but doesn't last,
Works Great at first, but very difficult to update, and started to freeze up at the most inopportune time I wouldn't buy again.

Guys, this thing is awesomeness, Read why!
Professional truck drivers, this unit has some killer features! One of them being, falls off mount on rough roads super easy, you will love that in heavy traffic, I know I sure did, FM Transmitter so weak any channel close to yours can override the one you're on, Memory of 32Gb Internal is so small update don't fit, DashCam don't record because of Small sized 32Gb Internal Memory, 32Gb MAX SIZE SD Card not useful for Expansion, Can't save custom POI to computer, Camera easily breaks when dash mount fails from rough roads. The suction mount actually holds pretty good, however the proprietary system to the unit, the FM Transmitter, SiriusXM Receiver, Power Block, that along with the magnetically held tablet, jumps off really quickly and easily on rough roads! You MUST HAVE A HOTSPOT to use this unit. The ease of finding a case with a cut out for the protruding camera lens. Now there are actually some cool features that honestly work. Weather Radar on screen, Live Fuel Prices, Traffic Information, Truckstop Information like amount of Parking spots, amenities, those are wonderful. At this price point, why would you not want it? I would recommend running a Garmin along with this so when it falls you still have a backup. Just my thought not yours.Remember, keep the rubber side down, and God Bless!

It needs to get used to your voice Practice with it in the living room till it knows you.
I have the OverDryve pro and it will give you two routes . This is a truck GPS so it will take you to the freeway the other route will be a alternative. If you don't like either one go to the map and tell it to take you to a town or address for your route down the road you want. It has built in maps. Once you get there tell it food or fuel. This is a nice GPS . I will be pulling a 23 foot boat so I will take the truck route rather than go thru all the small towns and streets. When I first got it I almost sent it back but the more I worked with it the more I liked it. So with the boat it will take me to truck stops without needing to know the address but be careful it may take you 70 miles somewhere just to take you to a truck stop so have that in mind. I have a older garmin that I will use with it to learn the routes that it does till I know the OverDryve better. I do like it for what I will be doing. The built in maps is a real plus especially with the zoom.

Best RM Line
Pros: It acquires routes in under 10 seconds, it doesn’t freeze or lose signal, it’s fluid between screens, it’s relatively easy to read and navigate the menus.Cons: The mount has limited adjustment to point towards driver, have to use the speaker box mount to hear the device. Have to hotspot for traffic and weather. Would prefer to add the software to a tablet brand of my choice. Would like to configure avg truck speed in settings like CoPilot to provide more realistic ETA (unlikely you’ll do the speed limit the entire duration after factoring traffic, hills, stops).I purchased the refurbished product and it appears and functions like new. I have it oriented 10mm above the dash in case it drops off the mount. It has yet to fall off the magnet mount. Would prefer an additional power cord much shorter in length, this one you can route the cord all the way around your windshield and dash, I used adhesive cable routers to route directly to the power socket. I have not tested additional apps, satellite radio or the built in camera. I’m only interested in the gps portion. It’s a good upgrade over 530/540 which don’t live up to their price for all the negative issues surrounding them. I’d say it’s a much better buy to go with an overdryve model at the refurb price. Hazmat routing has been very reliable. Wouldn’t go without this tool with hazmat, anything to avoid the 4 digit fines with a tanker. The routes are not always the fastest, that usually comes from experience, knowing where to detour traffic. The speed limit is not always right, but if your using your eyes it’s not hurting your time, you’ll shave some time from the ETA.
