Drake Muscle Cars 5R3Z-6112020-BL Dead Pedal

I worked for 2 hours today trying to get this footrest to fit. Unfortunately there's no way to "slide the carpet" underneath the footrest as the instructions say to do. Since the return window is no longer open I'll have to put it up for sale on Craigslist for less than what I bought it for. I gave it 3 stars because it seems like a quality item. It just doesn't fit every mustang out there.

Don't try to put it in without pulling off the panels. It says you can do it, but you risk pinching the wires that run by the bolt. (you will know what I mean when you see the directions)I'm glad to have it, Ford should have had it when the car was new. It does not match the other pedals, which might be an issue with some people.

Simple to install, fits like it belongs and is perfect to rest my left foot on. Ford should have put one in from the get go. I do recommend this Drake pedal it looks great and has help up well.

The way the slot is located, the dead pedal pushed off the bolt on the car during one of my Time Trials sessions. Design flaw for sure. Plus it was very heavy, and the aluminum plate screws bottomed out so the aluminum plate wasn't secure. I had to drill out the metal to lighten it. Now I have to weld a piece on it to reverse the slot sot it doesn't slip off the bolt when pushing on it with my foot.

Functional and attractive. Adds a nice touch to the interior.
