I did a significant amount of research and discovered that there doesn't seem to be a great product in this category, so I knew what I was getting into. The best application for this product is for the beach. The smallish, non-heavy duty bags are very portable and would fill with sand quickly and easily. Also, with sand and a single pole, the product should wrap effectively.The rather cheap stakes should work fine as well.For a semi-permanent gazebo-type structure with corners that will be dealing with some wind, this product doesn't work very well. The two-barreled cylinders do not handle corners well. If they had made the velcro strap longer so it would attach an inch or so more this would not be a problem, but for some reason they made the strap quite short, given the girth of the product when filled. The product will only take 2/3 of a 40lbs bag of pea gravel, so that was disappointing. Since I already filled the ones I have, I am considering getting another set to effectively ground my structure.Overall, not a bad product but certainly not "universal" in its application.

These were incredibly easy to fill with sand to use with our pop up tent, the quality of the bags are great. It wasn't bulky at all once it was wrapped around the legs of the tent. I only gave it a 4 star because I really wished the Velcro straps were just a little longer (at least by 2 inches) as it was almost not long enough to strap down because we completely filled the bags with sand.

Worked well for my grill gazebo. I used sand in mine. Had a few strong stroms come through and it was swaying a bit but never went over. Just remember to take out the metal stakes in one of the bags before you put sand in it! Mine is on a concrete patio so I didn't use the stakes and didn't see them and it popped out the side of the bag. We ended up sewing it and is holding up.

I brought these to help keep my gazebo from blowing away. They have been doing an excellent job of keeping my gazebo in place. I used sand to fill the bags.UpdateThe bags are still doing a good job of keeping my gazebo in place but the bags have faded bad and they have began to leak.

Easy to set up. Filled all the bags with pebble filled zipper 1 gallon bags. As some others have mentioned, would have been nice if the velcro straps were a little longer. Since the girth of the bag increases, you cannot pull the strap completely over to the other side. Material feels durable, hopefully these will last long.

You must hold the sandbags by the handle. I made the mistake of grabbing by the Velcro and tore the bag. The only place where the weight it fortified is from the handle on top. Does it hold sand? Yes, but the material can easily be torn

I'm using these for adding weight to items other than the intended use - with great results.

So far great purchase. Used this weekend in strong wind bursts and they kept the awning grounded.
