Easy Way to Replace Failed Motherboard Sound
I purchased the adapter because the sound card in my Dell desktop failed. It works very well. In today's computers, the sound card, the SD card reader, and normal graphics are on the motherboard. When they fail, one must replacement the mother board or find a usb replacement, or, for graphics, slot replacement. My computer is 4.5 years old but the SD reader has also failed. I note that Dell would not warranty my hardware beyond four years.

Check sizing of plastic area where audio jacks are. It may not fit without an additional extension
Product works just as needed. And connection is easy and working. I however, needed this for a laptop with only two usb ports. One was used for my mouse and because of the wider size of this usb I wasn’t able to connect it into the other port. I had to buy another extension to have more usb space but this product works just as needed

Worked surprisingly well
The onboard sound out on my old PC had gotten bad, sounding like it was plugged into an old-fashioned guitar fuzz pedal. Since I didn’t want to spend big bucks for a sound card…and since this was an old PC with Win10, I decided to give this a shot. It works surprisingly well. No drivers were needed, it immediately popped up in the system sound page. Note I do use a ground loop hum eliminator between the PC audio out and the amp I am using to drive the speakers. Sound quality is quite acceptable for the MP3 files I’m playing…I’m using a quality vintage tube amp and good quality vintage home speakers so lousy sound would’ve been obvious.

Perfect and cheap
Works perfect. My Pc is in a closet, using a USB extension and hub to get my peripherals to the desk. I needed a way to plug my headset up. No driver, no install, just worked

Works, but “random” audio pops
When it is in use, it works great. When volume on audio device driver is set to mute, it makes loud pops when there would be sound.Example:First, turn audio to a reasonable volume and start a video on YouTube. Sound is great. Now set device volume to mute in the audio settings next to the clock in Windows. Open a webpage like Yahoo or others and scroll down until an ad with sound starts. You will get a loud pops from the speakers. When the ad stops, it makes another pop. If volume is not muted there is no pop.

It Just Works
It just works. No fiddling around with downloads, drivers or complex setup. Plugged into a USB port and connected my speakers and they worked. This was purchased when the built in sound card on my motherboard failed.
