Nuvoskim DC Protein Skimmer (Desktop)

Within 5 minutes of first plugging it in, I started collecting skim even with the cup positioned higher! I do have a heavy bio-load so it went right to work and I’m very happy with it. The only noise you can hear is a tee tiny hum from the motor, no louder than the stock return pump for a NUVO 20. Installed in 2 minutes (literally) and was collecting skim 5 mins after. Not sure how anyone could poorly review this unless there’s a broken component. If you have a NUVO Fusion tank, this is a great option!

Love this design, clean almost not even noticeable on tank. Fits perfect in the nuvo fusion series, very quite, but it overflows when ever you turn the return pump off for feeding.

I got the desktop for my Innovative Marine Fusion Lagoon 25, first purchased its dead not working at all, then I returned it and just within an hour it’s skimmer, after 3 day i got really more on dry skims. For the price and quality I love it and it’s easy to set up. Just plug and play. Cleaning also it’s very easy. I highly recommend this product.

Thing worked great for less than two months and now doesn't do anything. I tried taking it apart to clean the pump yesterday but there was no blockage. I'll be contacting them with this complaint as well. Of course I'm 15 days past the return for Amazon...(1 star)Edit: I called Innovative Marine and spoke with customer service. He was so well-mannered and polite. He apologized for the faulty part and is sending a new one with a tracking number. I was told to call him back if I have any other issues. The customer service I received is fabulous (5 star)Edit again: annnnd for the third time, it's broken. Every month it quits, I contact customer service, and they replace the pump and/or wiring. And legit a month down the line, it quits again. Great product...for a month...customer service is great but the product is garbage. Do not buy. (1 star again)

I've always been a little skeptical about protein skimmers for nano tanks. However I have been very impressed by this skimmer so far. I've had it less than 5 hours in my IM Nuvo 10 and already it's starting to produce skimmate. Will do an update after 60 days but so far very impressed with the design and productivity of this little skimmer. It fits perfectly in the second chamber.
