It’s cute and sarcastic like me

I intended to use this on a sweater, but after mocking it up, I decided it didn’t look right; I put it on my favorite tote bag instead. Turns out this was a wise choice because the iron-on backing isn’t especially good and I can’t imagine it would hold up to laundering. I wash this bag very infrequently (read: never… because yes, I’m just that punk rock) and so I don’t anticipate too much of a problem. But getting the patch to properly adhere required higher than usual heat, the hottest setting my iron would reach. And adding a towel between layers, like I always do when applying iron-on patches, was no bueno. After the 4th naked searing, I finally got it to adhere. My bag is a thick canvas so could take this extreme temp; no way could my synthetic-blend sweater handled it. So chose your item carefully! I would have sewn this on but it’s a fairly thick patch and I wasn’t in the mood to look for the right needle…as, again, I’m just far too punk rock to make an effort, even an ironic one. Bottom line: it’s a couple bucks pricier than it ought to be vs quality, but it’s decently embroidered in a crisp and easy-to-read font, it isn’t too stiff and completely inflexible like some cheap patches tend to be, and the size makes it practical for several types of clothing and accessories…but be smart about it because the backing material is mediocre at best.
