Lakeshore Self-Teaching Math Machines - Set of 4

Purchased for third grader’s ninth birthday because of lagging behind in math skills. I thought it might be boring and a disappointment especially since other parent got her a video game system. I was wrong. She’s crazy about these math machines. They are a huge help with her homework. The first thing we did was I showed her some patterns in the layout so she got excited looking for more patterns and a month later she’s still doing it. She’s learned it’s not just individual facts, but an overall system. LOVE how these have the answers pop up in bold color rather than the dim hard to see numbers in the ones that were in my 1980’s classroom. I’m thinking about donating them to a classroom after my child no longer needs them. If I were a teacher I would love to have these. I also love that we were able to save a bit getting a four pack rather than picking individually. I was just going to get multiplication at first until I delightfully saw the option to get all of them.

My grandkids run to these at my house, and aren’t typically book or homework focused. It’s so easy to use on their own and I think they gain a ton of confidence using it. No one is looking over their shoulder, testing them etc. It’s all them-by themselves and they love it. My 9 year old just took the multiplication one home with him as they have groups in class that compete to move up after they become proficient at different problems. His inner desire to succeed and surpass is driving him. And this makes it so easy for him to practice when mom and dad are too busy to quiz him.

My grandchildren will get many years of enjoyment of this educational toy. They are just the right size for little ones, easy to read, great quality and value for the money and functions exactly as noted in the description.

I have been watching for these items since my grown children were small. I wanted to purchase them for my grandchildren. They were sold individually at family dollar years ago but were discontinued. The price is steep, but it does help children in math and with their homework!

Want to give it 5 stars, however my rating is 3.5. Due to poor lamination of the stickers. Don't leave near any type of moisture. The reason I would like to give it 5 stars: ●sturdy plastic ●sensory soothing clicking sounds of the buttons ●awesome tool for children struggling with memorizing math equations ●highly suitable for autistic & adhd students

Granddaughter loves these! Plays with them often.

Very helpful, they loved it, I replace the Tablet a few hours a day.
