Tomcat Spin Trap for Mice, 2 Traps

I have had an unwanted visitor for a few weeks now. You would think with a house full of cats, I wouldn't have to buy this product, but the mouse has been in my cabinets. It's leaving behind all sorts of nasty stuff in its wake. I did try to use a live trap so I could release it, but none of them worked. I bought these to help. It's easy to set up and I put it where I have seen their unwanted presents. It took a couple of weeks, but I finally caught it. One thing I liked about the trap is you never see it.

I despise having to kill mice, but it’s the only realistic way to control them. I refuse to use cruelty like glue or poison (also hazardous for wildlife). I have to use a covered trap; I can’t handle dealing with bodies. For years I used d-CON covered traps (not the round ones); only the tail was visible and I could deal with it. But those disappeared and I looked for other covered traps. I tried two Tomcat “Kill & Contain” traps. Took a while, but eventually caught two mice. Then I saw the less-expensive “Spin Trap.” Well, I don’t understand the people saying they caught mice with this little trap! I have had four of them sitting around for weeks and gotten nothing. Zero. They are easy to bait & set, but I think they are too small for anything but a baby mouse to get into. I guess Tomcat is trying to keep prices down for people like me who have to treat traps as disposable. But I have 28 of these worthless things I can’t use! I think Tomcat needs to go back to the drawing board & maybe make the trap big enough to let mice in. I guess I will try the Kill & Contain again. But meanwhile, d-CON, please, PLEASE, bring back the Ultra Set covered snap traps. Can you hear me, d-CON?!?!

When my neighbors moved into the apartment next door, I saw a mouse and I ordered these, put peanut butter inside all of them and set them out. Overnight I thought I heard one click and the next morning it was caught and I was able to just grab the closed thing and throw it away. I am very squeamish and Idc if they're more afraid of us than we are of them but they still scare me and I hate seeing them. These were perfect and I recommend them to everyone. They are also safe for pets because no poisons are involved and these are humane because it is a quick death.

I bought a pack of these a number of years ago to deal with a mouse in the attic and one in the garage. I found them super easy to use and priced so not to clean and just toss. They were easy to setup and use, worked within a day or two, and caught the mice. I order another set just a few months ago. Still very easy to use, but a little touchier to set the trap. However, this time, the mouse got in and out of the trap for the peanut butter bait a number of times without ever tripping. I also had one trap that just sitting on the counter before I ever placed it, snapped shut in front of me with no trigger. I still have a couple and will try them next time. Out in my barn I use a zapper that worked fantastic but stopped working at all within a year.

So dumb. There is no way any mouse will actually be so dumb as to use these. No mouse is going to somehow find the hole squeeze their bodies into this plastic tunnel sleeve thing. That would be idiotic and not in line with how mice move. The holes are so small. These are crap. I get upset every time I look at these things. I have 2 out it's been weeks. They will NEVER catch anything. No mouse, rodent, anything will ever squeeze it's way into these tiny holes to allow themselves to be so vulnerable while shimmying thru a plastic tunnel to get anything! It's so frustrating. Why are the holes so small. I decided to set an old school trap which I can't stand, but yup caught one so quickly, so I still have mice. Yuck!!! I hate these so much! These stupid traps make me so mad, I feel like I'm being punked every time I see them! Do not buy!

I got these thinking they would be great, no mouse went near them 😅. They are great quality, easy to use, don’t have a smell. But I was unable to get a mouse. The sticky traps worked better for me

My mouse problem is in a garage near farm fields were mice run happily among nature. Now and then mice look for the protection away from predators and some find my garage a comfort and out of danger. I purchased the first pair of traps from a chain building supply store and they worked flawlessly. Rather than make another trip back to the store, I ordered two packages from Amazon and thought they too would trap and kill mice. Along with the trap order, I order Tomcat Attractant Gel, thinking that maybe it was better than peanut butter. The first two Tomcat Spin Traps worked wonderfully with peanut butter as bait and as a test used the same on two of the traps ordered from Amazon and on the two remaining traps used Tomcat Attractant Gel. Sadly, none of the four new traps were successful at killing a mouse. They were success at providing a free meal to the unwanted creatures. To verify that the traps are defective, I paired the traps with the old fashion mousetraps that are spring loaded with a steel bar. So far, the old fashion mouse traps scored six kills. The Tomcat Spin Traps zero. Others have complained about the Tomcat Spin Traps failure. One commenter even posted a video with the mouse going in and out of the spin trap, once again showing the trap’s failure. Personally, I think there is a problem with production since the first two traps worked flawlessly and the other four traps purchased from Amazon are worthless. You pay your money and take your chances. Until they release an improved Tomcat Spin Trap, I’ll be sticking with the old style mouse traps.

Quick & easy set up. No messy disposal or sight of mouse. Snaps shut when mouse is caught then disposal in the garbage. Burnt pipe smell confirms mice is caught.
