works great but came with the wrong owner’s manual.
I’ve installed one of these in my ‘97 Ranger and my sister’s ‘08 Mustang. The bluetooth and CarPlay work great as well as the backup camera. Sounds so much better than the old stock Ford low power radios. A word of caution, the manufacturer has included the wrong owner’s manual. The correct one should be LG-7-EW-001 (see attached photo). I contacted the seller and they e-mailed the correct one to me. The wiring diagram on the back of the unit IS correct so follow that one when hooking up the wiring. When hooking up the wiring, make sure you have the red wire going to a constant 12V source and the yellow wire to a wire that is only powered when the keys are in “accessory” or “run” position. If both of these wires don’t have power at the same time, the unit won’t turn on.Also, the Molex connectors haven’t been assembled well and some of the wires actually fell out of the back of the connector. I was able to bend the prongs out on the metal component on the end of the wire and then plug it back into the connector and it’s fine now. Make sure to check ALL of the wires going into the connectors so that you’re sure none of them are loose. I contacted the seller and they offered to send me a replacement harness which was really great but I was already able to fix the old one myself. If you have any problems, don’t hesitate to contact the seller Podofo. They were really responsive to me. For $50.00, not a bad stereo! Time will tell to see how long it lasts but so far I’m happy with it. 😊👍🏼

Only buy for a temporary replacement while you’re broke
The radio looked good and was okay for the price point, but the quality of the head units OS and touch input is some of the worst performance ive seen from an android based OS but for the price its okay, the air play stopped working intermittently the first week the. Completely after two weeks, headunit somehow was also sending 12v to both front and rear right speakers causing the wiring to literally melt along with part of speakers(OEM speakers and a proper wirijg harness adapted was used im an licensed HVAC technician) just buy if you’re desperate and need a 30 day max replacement radio to get you buy in broke times

Works amazingly well for the price
Can't believe how awesome this stereo is for how little I paid for it! Apple CarPlay works amazingly well, it's exactly like it is in my 2020 Honda Civic... very surprised at the quality

Not your Ideal radio BUT the SERVICE is outstanding !!!!!!! ***** 5 star !!!!!!
First off I guess others were right when they stated you get what you pay for. The until arrived on time without damage. I installed it after purchasing a bracket kit for my 2001 Silverado. The wiring is pretty strait forward except for the back up camera which is non-existent. I figured it out from comments others had posted on here. Now for the problems first off this is not the unit advertised that I was supposed to be purchasing as I wanted and ordered a unit with a separate subwoofer output but this one has none. Second this thing is not anywhere near the advertised 45 watts a channel they claim I've been in the music business to long and I know what way under driven speakers sound like and my truck has new Cerwin Vegas in the front and new DS's in the rear doors. Third the screen acted fine the first day and from then on it has gotten harder and harder to get a response out of a touch. Forth the steering wheel remote and handheld remote are worthless so just throw them away and save yourself the frustration. Forth the back up camera worked for about a half a day now it will only work when it feels like it I've checked and rechecked and rechecked the wiring and it is not that. Fifth the phone function volume is so low when turned all the way up you still cannot hear the person you are talking to. Sixth and most of all I know you get what you pay for but when looking for a cheap unit for a everyday work truck I and many others have chosen this one account how everyone has raved about the outstanding customer service well I have reported these problems directly to them TWICE and have not gotten one single response. I will be glad to update and make this review better if they make things right but as of right now they should feel honored to have gotten the few starts I've given them !!!!!UPDATE AS OF 10/20/2023 PODOFO CUSTMOER SERVICE VS PRODUCTS!!!I returned the first unit back to Amazon bc it was still within the 30 day return policy and they sent me another of the same type of unit that I had purchased well I'm here to tell you this one was a bigger hunk of S*** than the first one. It had so many different problems I wont waist my time writing them or your time reading BUT BUT BUT and that gets me to the second part!!! in the meantime all this was going on a very nice and helpful customer service rep named Mia reached out to me (I have seen her name mentioned on other reviews) She was courteous and responsive to the situation as by this time I was rather irate about the whole deal but never the less she sent me a list of 3 or 4 different models that could be sent to me to correct the 2 duds I had already waisted my time installing and ask me to look it over and let her know so I did look at features and reviews of the ones on the list and pick one that looked to be a much better model according to features and price and I contacted her back with my choice. She directly had it sent out to me and is supposed to be here today or tomorrow. I will post a review of that one when it is installed but my point now is just to let everyone know that in this day and time its kinda hard to find people that will go the extra mile to make the customer happy and this lady is half way around the world sitting in a big high rise building with who knows how many other customer service reps and really would have no reason to be interested in helping some old redneck biker in Va. but yet she did have the interest and did take the time and I feel that's worth something and I do hope that someone higher up at Podofo who makes way more than they are really worth does read this review and gives the recognition she deserves. I am not going to condemn all of the products sold by this manufacturer but as far as this model goes Id stay as far away from it as I could!!!! We will see how the different and much nicer one does but even if you do decide on this one or another unit from this company the one great thing that I can say is there is a very kind and helpful customers service representative working there named Mia who will do everything in her power to ensure that you are happy with your purchase !!!!So we will see how it goes and Ill add another review update to this one if I have any problems !!!!!! Thank you Mia for being so much different and helpful !!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a functional headunit
This is a very noisy head unit…. The airplay function is wired only thanks to iOS 17.. Bluetooth calling through the unit induces echo no matter where I place the mic… rear camera output is dark and grainy (I’m going to try a heavier gauge wire to deliver power to the camera, but my expectations are low)The screen is eff’n bright hoe Lee C wrap it’s bright AF…The DSP section is good enough.. and when the volume is cranked the audio output is loud and clear… it would be nice to have subwoofer output control at the head unit…It’s still a solid deal at $45.. good but not great…. Effective but not outstanding…

Inexpensive carplay/android auto unit - DIY with caveats
For a cheap radio, it does the job. Wiring to an adapter was very easy and as straightforward as the big brands. The wiring diagram was accurate and intuitive to follow. I'm very happy with the price to features ratio, with one caveat: the fitment for my vehicle did not line up with standard double DIN dimensions. Some work was required with the trim and mounting kit, including shaving down a separately purchased bracket and trim piece from a major car AV supplier (so I know the fit should be correct for double DIN). I'd say the selling point for this is very much the price tag, and having a physical volume button (for some reason this is a super hard to find feature on radios like these). Android auto is working fine and the sound quality is an improvement over my base model stock radio. This is not a radio you buy and take to a professional audio installer (who should supply and warranty their own stuff). It is a Saturday project to swap out your vehicle's dated or featureless head unit. For the price, I can't complain.
