ExtendBar, Peanut Butter Crunch, 1.41-Ounce Bars (Pack of 15)

I am a diabetic, and a vegetarian, so it is not always easy for me to locate an appropriate snack, or meal whilst travelling.Extend Bars were a happy discovery for me, as they really do what they claim to do, and hold the line on my blood sugar while controlling hunger.The problem I have is not with the Extend Bar product, but with THIS PARTICULAR FLAVOUR of Extend Bar and its description here on Amazon.com.This flavour has far more carbohydrate content than other flavours of the bars- when you deduct sugar alcohols, fiber, etc., you still have 10 effective carbs,which could be a lot for me on certain days.If Amazon had put a photo of the nutrition info on the box, I would probably NOT have purchased this flavour, but instead purchased the "Peanut Delight." Also, since this product is NOT returnable, I will jjust have to muddle through untili I can order another flavour.Oh well, should have read the other reviews here first.Live and learn,

I have tried all varieties of the Extend Bars. In all honesty, I'm not crazy about any of them but the Peanut Butter Crunch, to me, has the most flavor. If you follow a diabetic diet faithfully and experience Dawn Syndrone, these bars will help lower your early morning blood glucose readings. They taste okay for a low carb bar but don't expect your taste buds to jump for joy. Of course, everyone has their own idea of what taste good. I guess the most important thing to remember is that these bars do what they say they do; help control blood sugar and satisfy hunger.For diabetics, Extend Bars are a welcomed tool in helping to manage a healthy diet.

If you suffer from blood sugar issues and tend to get dizzy, shaky and sweaty if you don't eat I recommend this bar. It doesn't taste fantastic but it will help regulate your blood sugar and keep you from crashing. I keep a few around me most of the time, so if I don't have a chance to eat I don't go all crazy.I personally don't get blood sugar crashes if I exercise a few hours before I should eat.If I eat it during a crash, I feel kinda yucky and low energy, but the shakes etc go away.

Buyers should keep in mind that this product has 10g sugar/bar--or even 30 g, if you count alcohol sugars--unlike the other Extend bars (at least the ones that I've tried), which have either 0g or 1g sugar/bar. I don't eat sweets, so, for me, that's a LOT. When I ingest that amount of sugar, my body reacts.If they want to offer a bar with significantly more sugar than their others, that's OK, but then they need to prominently display that fact in their descriptions. There is nothing that says that here. In fact, it's advertised here as a low-sugar product. Perhaps, compared to a Snickers bar it is. But, in and of itself, 10g is not low-sugar in my book.I'm concerned Extend may now be switching its products over to this new formula. It may be seeking to move away from using Splenda, which several studies have shown has health issues. But then the logical alternative would be Stevia, not sugar.

Its okay but there are so many choices I would not order them weekly But may order again when needed

They are good if you are wanting something very sweet like a candy bar. Just way to seeet for my tast.

Extend bars are great. I wish I knew that the peanut butter flavor has a bit less protein than the others before I bought it, but it still satisfied me and was very tasty.
