LEDs not in the correct positions to mimic the halogen filiments
These bulbs were of high quality and appeared bright. Unfortunately the LEDs are not positioned where the halogen filaments would be located, causing the light pattern to be ineffective in my Xterra. They appear to be arranged staggered where you would expect them for a 9003/H4 bulb (including a shield for the low beam). I ended up retuning them as they would be unsafe for use. It’s interesting to note these are identical to JDM Astar’s 8th generation 9007 LED bulb, except for one being black and the other silver.

Good Low Beam, Poor High Beam
I installed this in a 1996 Nissan Quest with old style reflective headlight fixtures. The low beams work very well with a crisp horizontal cutoff line, bright light ahead and wide light dispersion. But the high beams light is significantly dimmer ahead with a wide dispersion to the sides. PIAA technical support said that the the Platinum 9007 LED Bulb has the LEDs for low beam and high beam offset from each other. The 8 low beam and 8 high beam LEDs operate independently. The low beam LEDs are located correctly to operate in the reflective headlight housing. The high beam LEDs are offset too much inward to operate correctly. Its is too late for me to return these and since I use low beams about 99% of the time I will keep these for now. Low beams are great 99% of the time, and the other 1% of the time the high beams are terrible.
