Why is the shipping more then the product??  Where does it come from?

Because this is a Chinese product and everything you read in the description is translated from Chinese to English most likely done in China so proof reading is do with the same translators. In the listing it states the price is $3.02 + $3.99 for shipping. Total price $7.01. Then down below in the comparison list, it is listed for $7.03 Plus free shipping on orders above $25. So it is effectively $.02 cheaper to buy this product alone and pay the shipping. Then under the CART list it states you can get it faster for $9.50 with free shipping on orders over $25. In the description it states in the second line "Suitable For Car door trim clips (OK), seals buckle pull (what is that?), pull (?). play (really? play?), cutting (OK), various sizes (not sure sizes of what).

So take everything with a grain of salt. Nothing is clearly described except what you see in the pictures and of course where it states the other products are fake with poor quality. That is pretty cut and dry.

will this tool remove rivets from  jeans?

The tool is made to cut and remove plastic retainers. Cutting metal will dull the edge in short order. Use side cutters to cut rivets.

I would not recommend you to use these for removal or pop rivets, you should use a drill with a bit slightly ( 1/64” ) larger than the rivet.

You think these would work to cut plastic drip emitters barb ends off? The plastic barb end is about 1/8" diameter and hollow.

Yes, but they are not a heavy duty type pf tool. They are thin enough to slip under the heads of plastic rivets, etc, so it would depend on how tough the emitters are and how many you cut before you would stress them.
