I just received this mini flashlight and it’s perfect for my needs. Not only is the brightness great, it fits perfectly on my key chain. It doesn’t have a ring attachment so I had to get creative but it does have an attachment like on a pen. It’s perfect.

The small Hatori flashlight has been working well for me so far (1-week). It is a surprisingly bright white light for operating on a single AAA cell. For an every day carry small inspection light, it is fitting my needs extremely well. I have some other LED flashlights using 3-AAA batteries and multiple LEDs, and this light might be slightly brighter. Of course there are brighter flashlights out there, but they are likely much bigger, run on more than a single AAA cell, and would cost a lot more. When I have a big job to do, I will bring a bigger flashlight as well, however my little Hatori will always be by my side as it is the perfect everyday carry LED flashlight. The simple operation of this Hatori is likely to be more reliable than a multi-mode flashlight with strobe, brightness, and SOS functions. I love the small size; it perfectly fits with my Leatherman Charge leather pouch in the elastic side expansion tube. This is a very convenient way to carry the light without adding any noticeable bulk or weight. The black paint is already chipping a bit where the main body meets the screw-on tail switch. It is only noticeable upon very close inspection. The pocket clip is removable, and that has me worried it will work loose from the flashlight body over time. However, as of right now, it is perfectly tight. Another design idea.... Rather than relying on the steel spring tension on the sides of the round body to hold the pocket clip, the pocket clip could have a circular ring that fits around the threads and gets put in between the tail switch & main body. The advantage is that you never need to be concerned about loosing spring tension via normal wear and tear. Another advantage is in production; you wouldn’t need to worry about controlling the spring tension for tight fit to the body, and a weak one getting out to a customer. Also, the operator could easily relocate it to the LED lens side of the flashlight and use the pocket clip backwards to fasten onto the bill of a baseball hat for a hands free flashlight. I often have to inspect electrically live equipment, if you had a small plastic version of this flashlight, I would buy that too. Overall, I would certainly recommend this Hatori flashlight.

I love, love this light. I think it's just a couple of inches, but the light is so powerful! You could carry it in your pocket. I have it right by my pillow and use it at night to help me see the way to the bathroom. I'm going to order a few more and give them as gifts! A must have!
