Can I put some 3 pound stones on it without damaging it ?

It would be easy to scratch it with a rock of any kind.specially a 3 pound rock. I'm sure it will hold the rock but not sure if it will not scratch the surface with out putting something in between the rock and the surface of the pad.I hope this helps.

It is 0.3 thick across the board, lay it flat on table or do what I do put it on a drawing easel. 100% happy with product.

What is the approximate length of cord?

The cord is approximately 48 inches long. I alway usean extension cord which is no problem. Love the light box that I use frequently for quilting and hand embroidery
