Q: If I want my lights to go on and off the same time each day, do I only have to program this once, or do I have to push down the pins each day?

The pins need only be set once for as many on and off cycles per day as required. One side of outlets are timed and the other side stays on for pumps and heat etc!

Q: Will this work with T-8 flourescent lights?

Yes, as long as the fixture will plug into the grounded outlets.

Q: Does it come with a warranty?

I bought it from Petsmart and promptly returned it with no problems. The ones I got from Walmart have been working great!

Q: Does the timer program for day and night? Can I set it to turn on my day then turn on my night?

I am not exactly sure of your question, but this timer only has one setting for 'on' and one for 'off'. There is no way to set different on and off times for different components, or set multiple on/off settings throughout the day. Even with that simple approach, I found this timer to be very unreliable, and no longer use it to control my aquarium.
