Certainly not an instant cure for odors. I use these in small spaces around pet areas and also have to use air fresheners and other items - which sometimes seem defeating. The most significant con is that they seem to draw more energy as time goes on, draining their batteries VERY quickly. I can’t say I’d buy them again or recommend them. I haven’t tried others to compare them against,

TEC.BEAN USB Portable Ionic Air Purifier,...PROS: Nice compact size. Very nice, clean looking. Well made. Works with some odors. You have to remove the cause of odor before the purifier seems to work efficiently (ie, empty trash in the kitchen after cooking, wet towels in the laundry room, clean the cat's litter box, etc.), then the purifier helps to remove the remaining odors. Once I did these things, there was a noticeable reduction in the odors before the usual amount of time it would take for the odor to dissipate on its own.CONS: I gave 3 stars for the product's ability to remove odors and added another star for their customer service (specifically, Bella's kind and caring follow up). The first purifier was defective and Bella made sure I received a replacement right away without my having to request one. Very fast and professional quality customer service. The effectiveness of the purifier is a little iffy beyond one room and works on some odors better than others.

I bought two of these things with high hopes, based on reading reviews and other research. But after using them in several trials, I cannot detect any difference in the air in room after they have been used. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was hoping for some change, some odor elimination, some air refreshing, even some faint smell of ozone - something. But they really don't seem to do anything.

I bought 2 of these units. One I put in a bedroom my nephew sleeps in. I was trying to get rid of a funky smell that the room has had since he moved in. It is plugged in and I'm guessing because it turns itself off after a period of usage and since he tends to be pretty lazy that's why it doesn't seem to have made much difference in the odor in that room. My bathroom lost its only electrical outlet so I was looking for something that works off batteries and I've had better luck with that unit since I turn it on when I notice it's off. It seems to do a pretty good job there of getting rid of odors and I would buy it again when that one wears out.

Honestly I have no way of knowing whether or not it works or if it's just making noise. I purchased this because the TechGuy on our local news channel recommended it. He tested it and said it's a good buy. It's a matter of faith. What I can say is that it arrived in a reasonable amount of time, no wear and tear and no unnecessary packaging, thus the 3 stars.

I use it in my kid's bedrooms after they get up (i dont use it when they're in the room just to be on the safe side) and leave it on with the door closed all day, I also put a small fan in the rooms to help the air circulate. It actually got rid of odors too, Im very surprised how well it works considering it's small size and low price!My only complaint is having to switch it on every 4 hours bcz of it's auto shut off, I have not tried the other on/off power mode yet. It also gives off a strange plastic-y weird smell while it's on and a low hum sound but it's only noticeable if you're right next to it.The rooms ive used them in are about 100sqftgreat buy!12/12/2017I wanted to add they have amazing & prompt customer service! had an issue and they immediately sent replacement!

Does not work at all. I have used ozone for 5 years. I have a medical grade unit installed in my garage that was not mobile for the purpose I bought this for. I have a larger movable unit that I was able to successfully use to get rid of new car odor, but the cell needed to be replaced. I bought this as a quick and more subtle option to get rid of old furniture smell in a cabinet that I bought used and refinished with chalk paint. I thoroughly cleaned the cabinet with vinegar and also essential oils before painting it, and the smell dissipated, but later returned. I put this ozone unit in the top hutch (a very small area) and ran it for several days, pressing the button several times to restart it throughout each day. This did absolutely nothing at all. There is no way this thing will get rid of any odors anywhere. Ozone definitely does work, but not this unit.

Received June 22, 2017 used it on and off by August 17 it will no longer turn on. Lasted less than two months, a complete waste of money, this is garbage.Update: After posting my original review the seller offered to replace the unit at no charge, so I am changing my review to neutral to see how the second one works.
