Excellent book for Boa constrictor owners and enthusiasts.

Should be in every Boa keepers library

The info is old and dated, and there's not much there anyway. If you're looking for a quick reference, fine. But you can find more on the Internet. This is probably not the book you are hoping it will be.

Has the basics however its from around 2004-2008 and is very outdated.

Informative book with a lot of good info on husbandry

The Boa Constrictor Manual (Advanced Vivarium Systems) does NOT disappoint. The text is well organized and exceptionally informative--can't think of a topic that is not covered. Boa constrictor keepers should ALL own this text IMHO. I have always felt that Philippe De Vosjoli is one of the TOP experts. I trust him implicitly and am pleased to see that he has changed his philosophy somewhat in terms of more than a bare-bones approach to vivarium setups. His advice is practical, well-founded, and critical to the keeping of boas. {BTW, I have decades of experience with reptiles and a substantial Herp library, so I am speaking from some experience.}

I've had this book in paperback form for probably 13-14 years (just bought the Kindle version), and it's my go-to reference when I think my Dumeril's Boa might be sick. The last chapter about diseases and health conditions is extremely helpful. I read it from cover-to-cover when I first got my snake, and it was a great primer for me as a first-time snake mom.

This book is concise and full of info. It's not overly thick and it is a book that anybody can come to and get something out of. I've had a book for almost a year and even I learned things. Totally recommend!

Brilliant quality book at a great price

All the basics although just alilttle outdated. But covers all you need to start with. Good price too!

Brilliant. I am getting some good info from this about my boa that I rescued. It's informative and has beautiful pictures and great advice before you buy. I recommend it before you get a boa so you know what you are getting into.
